They're great but Stanhope is way more offensive. He has bits about his mom committing suicide, a two headed baby giving him a blowjob, gabby Gifford getting shot, funny things about child pornography etc.
There was a 10 year age difference between Elvis and Priscilla and she was 16 when things got serious. I think the time period had a lot to do with it - Jerry Lee Lewis's sister was allowed to marry at 9 or 10 ( which is obviously bad) and my grandmother got married at 12. Which is also bad, but that was 1939. It's a lot worse to hear stories about that stuff now. To me it is anyway.
Jim Jeffries has the occasional blank stare just past the camera. He looks so innocent, like he doesn't know why people are laughing. THAT is why he's funny. His poker face is fantastic.
A lot of the time it was him pulling back from Mooney's thinly veiled racism towards white people. Jim is actually one of the funniest people that's ever been on this show. He's in the S tier 100%
Jim gets away with the jokes because A) He's witty and the jokes are always funny. B) He obviously isn't racist at all and just doesn't let joke opportunities slip.
We did have all those things though not as federal policies since much of it occurred pre-1901. Barry Thompson is still an idiot whose generalisations are the most racist thing on this thread ... but yeah our history has some pretty bad moments.
Barry Thompson Being Australian doesn't make you racist bro. actually your attitude tells me you might be yourself. why else would you make a blanket statement like that unless you think along the lines of assuming a whole type of people is one particular way? he's obviously not racist, to me, because of his delivery. He comes off the way that a white guy who has a lot of black friends would if the group were sharing racial jokes just for fun. Racist people tend to come across like there is a legitimate disdain behind their words. It's called nonverbal communication. I could be wrong, but having been around many people similar to what I've described, I believe that I have an accurate sensitivity to understanding the context.
these edits were so unbelievably good. i had actually never heard of the green room (I'm ashamed to admit) so thank you for putting these up! I gotta track all the episodes down now somehow. basically all of my favorite comedians in the same room. beautiful.
On every one of these shows I've seen, there is only one good comedian and 3-4 people I can never understand that can make a living out of this. But have to say Carr, Minchin, and Izzard is a class lineup.
Holy shit, Jim's wit is several levels above anyone else in that room. Stanhope is a genius, but he's not a conversational improviser. Jeffries is just phenomenal
Sadly, they aren't. You can tell quite a few of them are getting offended (and/or not funny people). I don't know Bobby Slayton. I can't tell if he's being funny when he licks the glass, or a douche.
I love how good of a sport Ron Jeremy was during all the times he got thrown under the bus. Dudes skeezy looking as hell, but he seems to be an okay guy
I liked Dave Attell's "Insomniac" comedy shows. so funny shit ! (the comedy version of the "Wild On" travel show (E! entertainment channel) with Brooke Burke.
I loved the jester pin from George Carlin. I wish he, Bill Hicks and Sam Kinison were on this to give real wisdom to the other comics. I believe they were the true kings of comedy.
Paul Mooney is just such a good target with his obsession with race XD and Jim is like a great white smelling the blood in the water, tearing him apart XD
djordan22 His were the best, maybe rivaled by Jimmy Carr. His confidence with that, I guess, panel was crazy. Would love to see him alongside better comedians.
It's weird that people here are just learning about Jim Jeffries now, He's been kinda big in the UK for years, and he was waaaay more savage than this. Seriously though look up his shows, he is a pure savage.
it's one more of them employed...... Oh my God I was in stitches over that
Jim Jefferies stepping on some toes here, judging by the look on their faces. Well done Jim, well done.
Jim Jeffries, Frankie Boyle and Jimmy Car are the best "offenders"
AUSTDOG1 Anthony Jeselnik as well!
Jeselshittylastname is too boring.
Doesn't show from this, but Stanhope is the best at this... his 'I inspired the Robin Williams suicide' bit from his most recent special is proof.
They're great but Stanhope is way more offensive. He has bits about his mom committing suicide, a two headed baby giving him a blowjob, gabby Gifford getting shot, funny things about child pornography etc.
I honestly think Britain produces far better comedians than America.
Jim Jeffries: "how famous do you have to be before you can get away with fucking a kid". Love it
gob bluth I didn't know about Elvis and Chaplin at all.
There was a 10 year age difference between Elvis and Priscilla and she was 16 when things got serious. DH1986 Jesus fucking christ 9? 12? I really do not want to see that tiny wedding dress.
SwordLily I know. The sad thing is that it still continues in a lot of middle eastern countries today.
Onesufi johhnybgood legal age means nothing they also consider age diffetence
"It's one more of em' getting employed"

That mosquito joke was gold
Jim gets away with the jokes because A) He's witty and the jokes are always funny. B) He obviously isn't racist at all and just doesn't let joke opportunities slip.
Hahaha, it's take THE piss but you're not wrong about it mate
Mighty Boosh nah, they just took Aboriginal kids from their families in an attempt to "civilize them". Good people.

Jim gets away with the jokes - wait for it - because they're jokes.
"I only drink when I work, and I'm a workaholic." Sounds like something Norm Macdonald would say.
Norm had a joke about workaholics too. It was something like "I'm a workaholic: I'm addicted to workahol"
0:41
Jim gives the most "lost puppy" look just beside the camera like he doesn't know what everyone's laughing at. Hysterical.
love the "that was a really funny story" from jim jeffries so aussie
Jim Jefferies is sooooo god damn savage tho! Daaaaaaaamn!
Jesus. I love jimmy Carr.
William Beal Jimmy Carr, I love Jesus.
these edits were so unbelievably good. i had actually never heard of the green room (I'm ashamed to admit) so thank you for putting these up!

Paul: Something racist
Fucking golden moment!
"Its because they dont learn, Paul" Fucking savage !
Holy shit, Jim's wit is several levels above anyone else in that room. Stanhope is a genius, but he's not a conversational improviser. Jeffries is just phenomenal

Stanhope the goat
Jim Jeffries managed to offend that same guy twice (guy who licked his glass). I love It. I thought they were immune to being offended.
Sadly, they aren't. You can tell quite a few of them are getting offended (and/or not funny people).
I don't know Bobby Slayton. I can't tell if he's being funny when he licks the glass, or a douche.
This was a great show...it's a shame they didn't do more episodes.
Jim Jeffries' "what, what" face is the best
Jimmy Carr is the king!! :D:D
Jim Jeffries roasted the shit outta that old dude lol
Does necrophilia have the same rule of time like when you drop food on the floor but still eat it
It's more a rule of warmth I think...
Dave attell is EXTREMELY UNDERRATED
That "it was a big dick joke" fucking sent me especially when you saw the look on his face hahaha
4:17 funnest joke of the night Thanks!

Dave Attell and Doug Stanhope forced to endure Richard Belzer... it's like Newton and Einstein listening to a toddler count to ten.

Whats the jester pin?
It belonged to George Carlin. The woman in the audience was Kelly Carlin, his daughter. She gave it to Paul Provenza as a gift.
Fuck Jim Jefferies is funny. my god..
djordan22 His were the best, maybe rivaled by Jimmy Carr. His confidence with that, I guess, panel was crazy. Would love to see him alongside better comedians.

@0:28 he makes a joke and doesn't even realize it. Nothing is funnier than unintentional humor.
07:27-07:29: watch/listen out of context
Kamala Harris makes Sarah Palin look like a quantum physicist expert …
