My favourite heckle was when Jimmy Carr asked his audience for the worst present theyâd ever been given, and someone shouted âTICKETS TO THIS SHOWâ.
I loved his reply at first! Sure, he had a comeback, he looked so caught off guard, it was awesome!
The jimmy carr exchange I always go back to is:
Heckler: my mum died of cancer.
Jimmy: well, I wasnât talking about mums and I wasnât talking about cancer soâŠ
Heckler: it was funnier than this!
â@@SKa-tt9nmThat didn't happen, though...
He told that onstage as a joke.
I like the fact that Jimmy's put-downs aren't hateful, even the hecklers can laugh at them đ
,
I was finna say the man in the first one knew and and was happy with what he gotđđđ«Ą
Jimmyâs comebacks are generic and pre written and about as mature as a toddlerâs. Theyâre all variations of âyour mumâ.
unlike his holocaust "jokes"
Jimmy encourages hecklers, None of Jimmys hecklers are serious, Part of Jimmys acts is heckling, If you ever go to a show he literally says has anyone got any heckles and he does a 15minute segment on hecklers.
When a comedian deals wittily with an unexpected heckle, it can be very funny. I saw a clip of a US comedian beginning a story with âThe first time I had sex âŠâ at which point a woman shouted âYESTERDAYâ, and the comedian responded âYOU REMEMBERED!â.
"If you want my comeback you'll have to scrape it off your mum's teeth" is the best sentence ever spoken.
you never heard that in 4th grade?
@@KNIN-ni6lz Not really. I'm Brazilian, my fourth grade was taught entirely in Portuguese. đ
I thought Jimmy had came up with that. Anyway... I laughed hard and thought it was brilliant.
Followed by âno she swallowed the lot â
@@FelipePerestrelo K NIN is in the 5th grade, he learned it from Jimmy Carr last year.
That's been around forever. Jimmy just makes it funny

Love the first heckler instantly panicking
"what's your name sir?"
"Err... I can't remember"
Nah he said that cause someone has said that line to that comedian before and he started by asking for their name and hitting them with the most beautiful "your mum" joke that anyone's ever heard
@@lexdalex1 1. What was the your mum joke and 2. how do you know??

Itâs cool to see how in America heckling is disrespectful but in Britain itâs usually fans just challenging comedians
Heckling is rude everywhere. If a comedian is doing crowd work it's not rude to heckle. Because they are calling for responses. Some comedians are known for their crowd work and get heckled more
@@vinfishin2582 you took it the wrong way. The UK ppl in this video had a good attitude about it and was willing to joke with it like he enjoyed it. The us ones are just arguing/roasting and feel 100% real and straight disrespectful. The UK seems happier in general tbh jus my opinion I'm sorry I'm typing so much I'm high asfffff. Just marry Jane dw

@@Suko44 Ours are inappropriate but at least good humoured banter. The US ones are just obnoxiously drunk idiots shouting stupid nonsense at the comedian
This is comedy, not therapy! Love it! đ
When you heckle, you must understand that you are one person against the comedian and the total number of people that have paid to see said comedian.
Your chances of coming away unscathed are ZERO!
Your chances of looking a complete fool are 100%.
Have u ever smoked a bag of cOCKS....
Divorce and menopause

Comedians have one big advantage - they've got hold of the microphone!!
Jimmy is the best at this!
I'd say it's a tie between Jimmy and Steve Hofstetter, both are amazing at dealing with them
I'd say it's a tie between Jimmy and Steve Hofstetter, both are amazing at dealing with them
Na heâs shit, u can see the punchline coming a mile off
Frankie Boyle can be savage
The heckling at Jimmy's is planned
Mickley Flanagan is a fuqin legend
Comedians and hecklers have a long-standing and complicated relationship. While hecklers can be a source of inspiration for some comedians, they can also disrupt and spoil a performance for both the comedian and the audience. A good comedian can handle hecklers with wit, charm and humor, turning the situation around and making it a memorable part of the show. However, it's not always easy and some comedians struggle to deal with hecklers. It's a test of skill and experience to handle hecklers well, but when a comedian rises to the challenge, it can make for an entertaining and unforgettable performance.
Alright, calm down.
@@fantastic1921 Quiet, you
Ask literally any comedian and they'll tell you they hate hecklers and they don't add anything
Not completely true. I saw Alexei Sayle many many years ago and he actually got angry because no one heckled him. Some comedians, once they have the experience, donât mind some heckling, in part because when youâre in the middle of a tour doing the same material night after night it breaks things up a bit, in part because they get to show off. Because, make no mistake, all professional comedians will have an arsenal of quick replies. So long as itâs done and over quickly and the heckler then shuts up, I think youâll find many comedians donât mind all that much. True, it can knock their rhythm out, particularly if theyâre about to hit a really good punchline, but if theyâre clever theyâll get over it with style. And of course, they can always remind themselves that they are getting paid, while the heckler is payingâŠ
Bro wrote a chat GPT generated comment and thought we wouldnât notice
Jimmy loves it but theyâre all class đđ
That was good =)
Dave was a fan. He knew the "can't remember" inside joke
Scottish people might be awful hecklers, but Scottish comedians have some of the best responses to them, like Jerry Sadowitz. "Does your face bleed every 28 days?".
It wasn't a heckle but the best comeback I heard was from an audience member at a comedy show in Whitchurch, Shropshire, England.
The last comedian who was on told us he was from Huyton, near Liverpool. An audience member sat at a front table stood up, turned around, but fell over his chair and spilled a load of the table's drinks.
The comedian said, 'You in a hurry?'
The bloke replied, "I'm just going to lock my car."
Women + alcohol = drama
Jeez that Paul Chowddhry crowd sounded aggro as hell
I saw him in County Durham a few years back, not a big venue. Someone started heckling him & it got a bit hairy - I thought he might leap into the crowd & start a fight!
That last dude went straight to his dark place as soon as that lady said she was going to f*ck him up
this is comedy not therapy đ€Ł
Oh Andrew In my heart forever.
Jimmy Carr genius the rest couldn't cope
All of Jimmys are pre written, he uses them over and over. Part of his act is the crowd shouting stuff out, just like the Alan bit he set up knowing the outcome and the if you want my comeback line. Honestly Iâve seen him on shows with truly witty responses to unexpected situations and heâs funnier that way in my opinion.
Surprised that Hofstetter didnât make himself sound like a huge baby during that clip
Cowdrey is lethal you have to see him live
No, he's terrible
who is the comedian at 5:30?
The first one is a perfect challenge, he did that on purpose
"Hell is for funny people"! đ€Šđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
Lmao "between the ages of divorce and menopause" I'm gonna say that to someone one day lol
My favourite one ever was Steve Hofsetter and "Tanner" whom got roasted to oblivion.
The difference between the UK and the USA is vast, the former is funny and almost empathetic and the latter is a barking competition.
Iâve been obsessed with standup comedy for 20 years. Seen hundreds of shows. The worst, most low-brow, low-rent, embarrassing standup comedy show Iâve ever seen was at the historic hackney theater in London. Guy got up on stage with air horns and loud sound effects. The ehm⊠âfunny and empatheticâ - to use your extremely inaccurate phrasing - crowd ate it up.
Any time you stereotype 340 million people, you sound like a bellend.
I was there at Paul Claudia's set. It just went to pieces. Lol
What happened!?đ
What happened was that the woman was not happy about something already and was rather drunk!
She really upset him. Everyone else was loving it though.... if there's someone you don't want to heckle it's Paul Chaudry.... Big mistake. Lol
I'm convinced Jimmy Carr uses plants lol

American stand up comedians look like they try too hard⊠itâs just painful sometimes
Lol all the greatest stand ups are from America. It was literally invented here. Jimmy Carr is probably the best in all of Europe. Meanwhile we have Chappelle, C.K. , Pryor, Carlin, Murphy, Rock, etc. There is no competition.
Jimmy is great but his comebacks are all pre written. He uses them on multiple occasions
Yeah, okay dude, some of these hecklers are paid stooges to enhance the street cred of the comedians.
What is with Sammy and Quebec women?? lol!
not sure what type of person enjoys watching ppl bicker and argue
Steve Hofstedter is great.(prob a misspell.lol)
Jesus this is amazing
American comedians dealing with heckles is just not funny but then again most American comedian's aren't funny

Bernard Manning wraps this lot up in knots. Comedy Legend
Trouble is, can they show his material now!!
Why is it always people in the front too?

Normalize thine audio.
That first one is really struggling with a come back, and as he didnt have one, he had to spend time and go generic. Poor efforts.
Between divorce & menopause. Ya, the ones that don't know how to keep their mouth shut.
The only comedian amongst that shower was Micky Flanagan.
what !! doin tha walk...tha cockney walk... shoulda been wearin' a mask....doin tha cockney walk. Seriously??
I have seen a lot of good comedians and none of them use that word "like" in there routine. Like, the word "like" like seems to, like, slow down the pace of, like, the delivery. Same thing goes for the word fuk when it is used habitually to get a cheap giggle from the audience
comedy not therapy girl was real for that tho

They are plants, not hecklers.
The yanks are just so poor at it.
I disagree even tho I love British comedy. I have to say you're just being biased
@@lealta1481 Nah I'm not British. I don't have a horse in this race. The yanks take it personally and go on the defensive. They seem less secure on stage. Because Americans always need to be the winner in a situation. The Brits use it as an opportunity to be funny.

Hoffstetter plants hecklers in the crowd to virtue signal. Stop giving him oxygen.
5:25 8:53 Paul chowdhry is hilarious
Carr's retorts are learned off and irrelevant to the heckle, most of the time. The exceptions are when he requests the heckle in advance. He is simply not a very good comedian.
Bad opinion, low bait found
Who was the Asian dude found him hilarious đ

Hofsetter sucks!
There is nothing worst than a stupid heckler
What a surprise a comedian doesnt like trump, how original
I love how so many do jokes ab white women because tbh most of its true and it takes balls to say it this is only way they can get it out to vent.. especially burr is legendary with his stuff on it but thats what comedy is for too laugh at the bs..
Nah itâs cos they are easy targets. White people in general. Make a joke about non white people and the race card is out before the punchline. Interesting you are so onboard with negative stereotypes about white people though.
why is it just women
Other than Carr, the rest of these idiots don't know how to deal with Hecklers or comedy in general
Comedians? Jimmy Carr, maybe, but the rest? Nah!
Paul chowdhay is not a comedian
