At the end of the day, you need to love what you do and love the grind or it will not last, and unfortunately that's exactly what happened with this incredible channel. Life happens to all of us, priorities change, it happens, as long as the path you choose brings you satisfaction and fulfillment. Yes, this channel could have well over a million subs and hundreds of millions of views by now had the content continued, but at the end of the day it's just not meant to be. If anything, let this channel inspire YOU to pick up where he left it and get involved in RC, begin to document your experiences and build a following. God bless to anyone who comes across this.

This is the man responsible for getting me into the RC hobby. Started with a Traxxas Slash at 14, added an interior, lights, etc; I’m now scratch-building a scale trail truck, and have plans to build a trophy truck similar to what you’ve done, though it’ll have to wait; I’m 19 now, going into college, and I now understand this message.
If you’re still reading these comments, I miss your content, but thank you VERY much CyconXC for introducing me to the scale RC hobby.

i know it's not the easiest thing for you, but i really would like to see more projects from you ! i would you to build more chassis , you are one of the inspirations of a 15yo boy, you'r one of my inspirations for my personals rc projects!

When i watched your videos i just said "woaw it's amazing how this guy build himself his truck! i really would do it !" now it's my turn to build my own chassis and make videos about it , and for all your videos and your ideas during the past years i just say thank you so much ! keep it up you'r one of the best IMO !

New subscriber here! Just found your channel. Loving all the content so far. Appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experiences in building. At 42yrs w/3 kids I can say you're on the right track with focusing on your priorities. This hobby can definitely become to much of a distraction but is great for feeding the curious engineer mind.
...and remember, no one says you gotta drop videos all the time. 2-4 videos a yr is fine. Take the same amount of footage but take longer to edit. You can make one feature length video then break it into chapters to release independently. Just some ideas, thanks for the content thus far. 👍

I am very happy to know that the chain is not dead and I think I am not alone. My favorite video is this one : "4x4 TT SETUP TESTING - GOPRO SLOW MOTION " the combination of the music from v.i.p.n and the different video shots with the movement of the suspensions is just incredible, every time I watch it I am excited, I smile with happiness; ). A real antidote against temporary weaknesses hahaha x)
And what about the mini zeus ... a wonder in the world of rc to switch to "scale" mode. I would love to have a traxxas udr one day to perhaps approach such a level of realism and Fun

Trophy truck build was the first video I saw, and I was hooked. Your RC's are mad awesome, I've always been interested in the hobby and it never ceases to amaze me how diverse it is, from people modifying and bashing 100$ Chinese cars, to custom builds like yours (and you're totally right, those are priceless) it's amazing to watch. Any running footage of your cars is footage I'd gladly watch, the scale movements are too much fun to see.
You do you though man, you're on point with how hard it is to create such quality content. Filming, editing, all that takes a lot longer and is a lot harder than people who've never done it will understand.

Good on you for taking time out, it shows a lot of maturity. Your experience is not unusual, you don't need to apologize to anyone for setting priorities in your life. I had a similar experience 20 years ago with a modestly popular blog. It's a hobby and not a career, at some point it can burn you out if you try to keep everyone happy. Just gotta be true to you.
To your answer your question, your suspension realism is what got me onto your channel. Getting back into RC after a near 30 year hiatus with the kids. Used to be a super serious racer in the late 80's/early 90s. Still interested in tracks and racing, but now keen to make everything look more scale. We are building a scale short course truck track in our back yard.

I just bought the Losi super Baja Rey 2.0 truck which I want to make superscale and modify to my own is there anyway you can make videos on things you can make for this truck I don't know if you sell online but that would be so dope because this truck should have way more upgrade and option support. I was searching CZcams for rc trophy trucks, you popped up. I watched hours of you building a tube chassis and you inspired me to buy my first hobby grade RC truck. I ended up buy a Vxl3s Slash 4x4. Now I'm wanting to buy a welder and make chassis's like you do. Just bad ass man, I can't remember the first video I watched, I think it was the mini Zeus chassis. But I would like to see you do what you do man, build some bad ass shit and in the end get those amazing 1st person ride along shots in a 1/10 trophy truck. They way they glide over everything and the details you put into them, like you said they're priceless. Hope to see some content in the future.

Couple of years ago I bought my first hobby grade RC (short course tuck). Then I thought "how can I customize this?" After looking around for a bit I came across one of your Project NSP-1 videos. been wanting to build my own ever since. Still plan to. I think its super rad how realistic it looks. which is why I watched every one... multiple times. ha. At the end of the day, do you. I was shocked when I saw the post on IG. Definitely looking forward to what you do next.

Yo listen man, just found you in my subscriptions again and this took me back to years ago when I was into RC. You do you, if you enjoy it and have time, then share it with the world. But pursue the shit that will benefit you most personally in the long run, even if you aren't able to keep this hobby as much or create content from it. You can always come back in the future and start back when you have time. Keep crushing it and cheers bru

I just found this channel! I was looking for "how to build a track" for a project I'm working on (so I started with your 2012 videos! LoL). Mad props for taking care of yourself and business. Education and Centering are paramount if you are to do ANY Youtubing. Cheers, Brotha.

The custom builds maybe a layout of what materials you use to build the scale trucks. Thickness of the plate to mount electronics. Also maybe an in-depth lay out of how you start a build (drawing, CAD, how you lay out the dowels. I’m starting my own build after seeming your builds and if it goes decent I want to make a 1/5th scale🤘🏻

What brought me here? Rc trophy trucks. Just a recommendation on YT, but when I saw that, you were doing the build by yourself, I was bluntly said f#cking jealous and more then anything, amazed. You were the one to inspire me to start working on a better version of a classic Marui Samurai buggy. And hopefully as time passes and opportunities arise to be grabbed, I can reach either of my three dreamjobs in life, one is being part of a development team on rc cars.
What would I like to see in the future? Man, some awesome driving, breathtaking slo-mo's and if you can, your nice builds. Maybe build one with an rc sized v4 or v8 engine, hint hint ;)
I am glad you are back.

Good to see you again. I can completely understand. I guess the video that got my attention was the 720p slow-mo video. Never could figure out how you filmed that video lol. Then I got in to racing and really enjoyed your Tekno racing videos. Have fun and stay young 👍

    To answer ur 2 questions:
The video that brought me to your channel was the video with the trophy truck on the beach with the GoPro 240fps
What I would like to see in the future is some build videos, but that’s just me
Either way the channel is amazing

The video that brought me was the scale off-road crashes video. I have a losi baja rey and for the life of me can't make it look as scale as you make your trucks look. I know that your trucks are probably almost all custom built so that may have a effect on the way they drive and look. No pressure this is a hobby it's not something that you need to have to live like food or water. It's something on the side to have fun with!

I think one of the first videos I was watching was one of the Zeus videos and the "scale offroad rc crashes" video. I love the trucks you built, they look awesome and performing like the real ones. Keep it up as a hobby. Hope you find the right balance for all interests of your life!

Hey man you gotta take care of yourself before all else nothing wrong with that. Thank you for the update. A video I would love to see from you would be you equipment setup what you use to make your chassis and maybe a little info on how you design them. That way maybe others can get an idea of what you go through and what it takes for them to begin designing and building our own RC chassis.

  • @billbarberconstructioninc.17

Nsp1 was the first video I remember seeing. Someone at the local hobby shop told me to check out your build. You video editing I think above all else is what really kept me coming back and repeating those videos! You've got tons of talent brother, I think you should start running some ⅛ scale nitro though! Time to step up to the big leagues, and then you can start schooling us in that too!!

  • @Skovsnegl
    @Skovsnegl Před 4 lety

Well to be honest, Cyconxc - You are like the only one who i've seen who has built their own chassis and make it so realistic..
I mean, You created a platform that suits you, which suspension parts that works and a power unit that delivers the power you need - You have basicly created a true scale of a Trophy Truck, the way it drives, uses that suspension and wiggles when power is applied - That's the impossible for most R/C manufacturers, though they try but yours got some real "built not bought" vibe into it.
So even though i have an idea, in which direction you should go, it ultimate comes right back to you, what do you like for fun, what type of bash, jumps or race do you enjoy.
If i could give you some pointers, i would make it true scale, make it realistic, record the whole movement of the car and add some catching music that fits - For inspiration, check out Matteo RC's videoes, he does some cinematic journey's with this scale off-road vehicles. Maybe you have something in your area you could utilize to your advantage.
I know what it's like to work all the time and not having the time to do the things you like - I tend to do it when i can and when i'm done for that day, i can rest and be happy about it. So do it when you have the time - Don't stress about it, we will be grateful to see a video from you even though there is a month apart of them - Like you said, as long you are happy producing them, we are happy to watch them.
Keep up the good work (~‾▿‾)~

I agree that selling something that you have put so much time and effort into is out of the question. Those trucks are works of art. Also anyone in the comments who works for a living can understand where you are right now. I just got a new RC kit and have been trying to make time to put it together for month. You sound a bit like myself, in that you want to have the time to do something you've planned from start to finish and not spend an hour here or there.
Anyway glad you're back. I'm still subscribed and will be waiting for the next awesome slow motion shot of one of your creations tearing it up.

Everyone goes through troubles, for years I've been dreaming of building a trophy truck because of you, and I've come very very close to going full out a couple times, but like you said, priorities. The TT's brought me, builds, testing, all of it. I loved it. You killed that shit in the past, and personally I'd love to see more trophy truck content, even maybe custom U4 or drift stuff, I think you could pull some whicked stuff off dude!! Hope I'm not asking too much, of course it's your life, I'm hoping I can help inspire you to get back into it, but after all you do what makes you happy! If you do decide to let it go, make sure you let us know about it though please!!
