Hi there, thanks very much for your helpful DIY-videos on the 993. I bought a US-spec 993 last year and do currently some maintenance and repair on the engine/transmission. I noticed that when you reinstalled the chain cover on the right (passenger) side, you did not put the special washers on the 2 nuts on which the metal sheet was bolt on. I think there should also be washers underneeth. I doublechecked that on my car. I have these washers there. Sorry for my "bumpy" english, didn't write/speak that for more than 20 years. Greetings from Bavaria/Germany
Thanks for the response. I thought there was supposed to be washers there too, but they weren't on there when I took them off. Hopefully it won't leak ;)
Great question. I "think" you can. I haven't personally done it, but in comments and conversations here I've heard a few guys have tried that. If you're able to and you get it done, I'd love to know. Of course, I took out the motor because I have 11 other things to do
@@beardedgarage i appreciate the reply! When I get the courage to try I will report back. I’m wanting to to the valve covers upper and lower with the chain covers. I also need to replace the drivers side tray between the Valve covers.
stumbled across your channel a while back, appreciate everything you are filiming on the 993
Hopefully it's good for ya!
I have same leakage to fix on my 993: thank to your training, sounds like I’m ready to dive 😉

@@beardedgarage keep my fingers crossed
Do you know if you can do this without taking the engine out?

Same question. I’ll need to lay under the car to reach this part of the engine.
