My uncle (bi? closeted? Uber religious so we’ll never know) was a successful musical theater performer worldwide, and he regularly had family members learn song-and-dance routines for Christmas, New Years, we did Fourth of July once, literally any holiday or event. He’d make new lyrics to suit the event, and most spectators thought it was hilarious and special (yea most spectators were rich white boomers but *shrug). My whole family is musical, and as kids we had no choice-but as adults, we find it a charming holiday tradition.
After my grandmother (his mother) passed away, we felt so grateful to have the home videos of the skits and songs we did with her at Christmas.
