As a gay guy I agree, when I see any shred of representation I get so happy its actually sad. However, I dont feel represented by most movies including this one as they constantly reinforce stereotypes and only represent more feminine gay guys and never represent gay guys who aren't feminine. (There's nothing wrong with it but it gets quite exhausting when theres only a one dimensional representation of gay guys and you can never see yourself being represented, even in something thats supposedly supposed to represent you)

These films definitely do not have sad endings. You can check these out. Some of these might be cheesy. I'll add more names as and when I remember more films.

Ok, I just watched this last night. It was such a sweet and fun film. It’s blissfully and unapologetically cheesy, cliché and heartwarming in all the best ways imaginable. It’s like the screenplay is intentionally making you happy and raising your endorphins and it works. Well worth watching if you’re looking for something fun and light. Family friendly as well. I’m looking forward to watching this again.

To be fair, as a gay girl myself I am not sick of these clichés, I'm just sick of never seeing myself in them because it's always about straight couples. It's great to see these silly little romcoms we've all grown up with but finally seeing people like you in them!
Especially since most gay cinema ends up with the gay characters dead or broken up or miserable. It's refreshing to see a happy story for a change

So, last year we finally get a wonderful christmas movie with a lesbian couple as main characters (Happiest seaon) and this year a probably even more fabulously romantic queer christmas movie. I am SO ready for this!

Just finished watching it today, on its premiere Dec 2. I've liked Michael Urie from Ugly Betty and Younger. First time seeing Philemon Chambers, he's so handsome. Great eyes and smile. Love cheesy holiday Christmas rom-coms. So, cool to see a gay couple leading it. They were so adorable together, good chemistry. Sweet, cute and fun movie! The guy singing the Christmas songs at the bar, I need those tunes on my holiday Playlist 🤣🤣🤣

What a feel-good story ❤️ So sick and tired of those 20 minute short LGBTQ films ending unhappy where two guys have feelings for each other but one of the guys struggle to accept it. Just as things are going well, the person trying to deal with it leaves and thats the end of the movie. Until Netflix made a plan.

I saw this the first day it premiered on Netflix. It's so cute, sweet, and romantic. I loved it. And the family is so cute. Even James was great. This is how LGBTQIA+ movies should be fun , light, happy, romantic. It doesn't have to be dark and depressing all the time in every movie/show.
