    I, for one, see an enormous difference in your before and after footage. Your yard looks uncluttered, and the existing trees really show up. It's beautiful - congrats.

    I got a loa dump truck of wood chips for landscaping years ago. And wound up a few years later with a huge carpenter ant farm! Had to remove everything. Keep them away from your home!

    I'll bet that was a big chunk $$ out of savings to cover the bill. With all the extra sunlight, you'll be amazed at the future growth and the Morrell mushroom population next year April to May that will explode will be incredible. This was fun to watch, but I'm waiting to see how your trails turn out.
    Consider on a protective vest ( orange ) at a distance he will stand out and keep an eye out!! Be careful and enjoy your adventure. Toledo 💙

    Any way to use the wood chips in the fireplace?
    As I expected, the yard doesn't look that much different with the dead trees removed.
    It actually looks a bit more open but not missing the dead trees.
    Rent a skid loader to move the chips around.

      Great question! Our favorite time to camp is in the winter when its a little slower most places. The summer is pretty difficult with the temps and having Barkley, and Michigan has some of the best summer weather we’ve experienced! Plus there is cost compared to other states like Colorado. We’ll see if we stick around for any of the winter or spend it in the camper!

  • @LisaH582

    The wood chips will make a great path for you guys. It all looks good, and the tree company cleaned everything up just like they said they would. It's odd for me to see you guys wearing winter clothes and a fire going in the fireplaces. I live in Georgia and we've been in shorts and sandals for weeks. At about 11:08 in the video you had a female artist singing such a great song. Would you share with me her name and the name of the song? Thank you! I know things will work out better than you ever expected!

      There is a native legend here in Michigan which explains our spring this way. There are 2 brothers who are spirits. One is the spirit of Spring and the other the spirit of Winter. Winter was jealous of Spring and chased him about everywhere. When the rest of the country is enjoying their spring we may have a thaw followed by more wintery weather. Our spring doesn't come for earnest until May, sometimes a little later. Our winters last about 6 months more or less.

    Rent a bobcat! Those chips will start to mold if they sit in piles too long.

    • @junebugbea
      @junebugbea Před měsícem

      Not only that but if they stay piled up they will start to decompose and could cause a fire. We had that happen with a small pile, after a week or so they started to smoulder.

    If the trees have disease, wouldn't the wood chips carry them too?

    • @LivingLargeCamping

      The disease is tree specific, and all of the Beech are already infected so no risk in it spreading!
