Trying to find yourself in the battle is insane. but watching people fight is hilarious

07:36 In the middle of the screen, polearm dude stabs orange tunic shield dude and then drops his weapon and gives him a hug haha.

Likely he thought he thrust him in the face too hard; we accept just a light tap, just enough to feel it, since we don't want to push their helmet into their face or knock them out. He was probably like "Oh, hey, I'm so sorry dude, was that too hard? I didn't mean to stab you so hard, I'm sorry brother." 😀

@@LordOwenLongstrider yep I've definitely appreciated not getting absolutely trucked when caught off guard. Missed GW this year (and the last 2), looking forward to 2023

@@LordOwenLongstrider I think over 2k people showed up this year so we should be good to go, I don't imagine they'll want to go backward after the economic situations we've dealt with the last couple years

They should have fired arrows as they were running up the hill.

Probably were; it's hard to tell you've been shot when you're moving like that though. :-)

Plus the fact that our Combat Arrows fly like bricks. The heads are large 2in diameter knobs and the fletchings are replaced with a tube-like flight, both so that the arrows don't go through the 1in gaps in the faces of the helmets upon impact or flying backwards after bouncing off something, but that means they don't fly all that straight and tend to arch downward earlier, so it is hard to judge how far you need to shoot them, as well as the fact that the bows/crossbows are low power to avoid breaking the arrows or injuring the participants (bows can only have a max draw weight of 30lbs).
