I clicked on this forgetting that these food videos make me lose faith in humanity. Even if it’s a joke it’s just physically, emotionally and spiritually upsetting.
i was thinking the same thing
I really mean this as nice as possible, no hate. Lose* not loose.
look at their house... i think it's real.
You can just choose not to get that upset 🤷🏾♂️
I lose faith in humanity when I see people not know the difference between lose and loose.
At least Kay uses fresh veggies. Mama is a processed and canned food connoisseur.
Mama loves her Mayo too
“fresh veggies”
flashback to that decaying bell pepper
Right?? At least Kay usually started with whole carryots and honions, even if she did frequently hurt herself while cutting them. This is just... cans and bags. I shudder to think what it all tastes like when everything has so much salt and sugar in it. I'd prefer Kay's unseasoned food!
Go Kay!!! Cooks from scratch at least ❤❤❤
When you called out the dog whining when joshua said to give the ham to the dawgs, gave me flashbacks to one of their recent videos where the dog walks up to the counter and didn't beg for anything but looked SO visibly concerned 😂
You know when a dog wont eat something, it has to be really bad! I'd probably be happier eating dog food in this house, or just starving.
The “spices” on the microwave are actually prescribed meds 🤭
My first thought! It's where they stay at my mom's house lol
lol I thought so too. That's the bottles the prescriptions from publix (I think) come in.
@CaitlinEmfinger I’ve seen it before, but I’ve never understood why people keep ‘em there
That is so crazy that they had never heard of boil-in-bag rice, that's a broke person staple! She looks like she's using the "10 minute success" stuff, I have some of that in my pantry right now 😂
Does anyone else's CZcams app not show a field for leaving a comment? But I am able to leave replies? It's confusing.
Crazy part is, those boil in bag rice packages cost more than a big bag of rice you have to cook yourself. You get so much less rice. 1 big bag for $8 gets ya 5 dinners for 4 people of 20 meals. $8 of boil in bag rice gets you maybe at the cheapest 8 to 10 meals of you stretch it.
Yeah, the boil bags were a thing in the 90's. They sell them still.
Yeah I was thinking the same thing-my mom used to buy these occasionally and I used to get them when I lived alone because I didn’t know how to make rice..I think I thought it was more difficult than it is. Now we just always have a big 25 lb bag of rice-it’s a much better value since it takes so long before it goes bad and we make it fairly often.
But what’s the point of boiling it in a bag when you can just boil it directly in the water you’re literally doing the same process? And rice is pretty inexpensive. Genuine question as to why these are a thing
When ken is confused by minute rice lol
i know! i was like "brooooo you never had Uncle Ben's boil-in-bag rice!?" that Five Star Chili that you boil in the bag makes good frito pies, too. 😎
Yeah, I am surprised often at things they've never heard of.
I'm pretty sure that if you serve Macaroni and Cheese out of a can for thanksgiving they will exile you from the south. Like put you on a horse blindfolded and point you towards New Jersey
We sure would.
They would get kicked outta Jersey with that crap
@@mstorey0601 ok ok. Ohio? 🤭
Not to mention that train wreck of hoppin John. Point that horse towards New York City so she can get her salsa
@@Lia-ij5fnHey! I grew up in Ohio. My mom and grandma wouldnt even let that in the house! If you brought that to a cookout, you would be bringing the plates and cups next year! 😂
Dane with the most UNDERRATED joke EVER!!
Ken: "Ahh she's a witch, she's doing it to get rich!"
Dane: "She's doing a RICHual!" LMAO
a moment for Dane's great rich-ual joke that went unnoticed 😂
Back in the day, field peas and greens were called “cash and change”. So they ate them on New Years so they would have a good fortune.
Came to say this.
It's Hoppin' John.
We still do this in the south!
thank you for sharing!
Ken explaining the Southern accents killed me at how accurate and well done they were 😂😂😂
She’s amazing at acting. She has a separate TikTok where she’s an actual amazing cook. I love these two.
my friend said her mom would keep a 32 oz of sweet tea by her bed and drink it when she woke up in the morning... i couldn't imagine having so much sugar in the early morning. and somehow the woman is petite/thin despite her best efforts
I'm super skinny after being very sick. I lost half of my body weight. I went from 220 to 110. I drink at least a 6 pack of classic Coke a day after I finish my pot of coffee. It doesn't matter what I eat or drink I Can't gain weight and life at this size is too freaking COLD ! My body Doesn't have Any natural insulation ( Fat ). I would love to gain 25- 30 lbs. I’ve never seen canned Mac and cheese from chef Boyardee😂😂
I just saw them last year. Yeah, it's just weird.(I did not buy) 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I saw them growing up and even ate it a few times. It's an acquired taste but it was okay in my opinion.
it's cheaper to buy the box stuff lmao
I see the mac and cheese from chef boyardee..it Okey the mac and cheese...but the cheese burger mac and cheese is good 👍
It's disgusting.🤢
Her being offended when her son suggested that she would reheat dinner! Hilarious!
She's technically reheating it anyway with all that canned food, canning involves cooking it first.
Kens accent gets more southern when he’s playing games with his southern friends. Lolol. He starts saying “ I reckon” lololol
Especially the ghost hunting type games. Something about a hauntin' brings it out of him.
I feel like green bean casserole is the one dish that is commonly made with canned food, and she still made it wrong 😂 there didn't appear to be any liquid in it.
There wasn’t even any salt 😢
pretty sure it's supposed to have a can of mushroom soup in it. idk i hate it i don't make it lmao
That's one of the easiest dishes to make too.
I was put in charge of making it every thanksgiving since I was 10.
@@fancydeerthey definitely left out the soup and the way I make it you put those crispy fried onions on top of it.
Im surprised my comments didn't get deleted youtube deletes almost every one I post.
The sad thing is that a premade frozen or fridge mac and cheese would have been easier, cheaper, and taste way better.
Dane and his laugh are a light in this otherwise cruel dark terrible tasting world
The “Rich-ual” joke Dane made went under appreciated, but man did I get a good laugh 😂
I don't know if Gordon has reacted to these two but I did see a video of him reacting to a tiktok recipes once. It was some dude making his beef wellington but only using one of those little toaster ovens, because he was in a dorm room. XD It actually turned out good but the best part of the video is just the disbelief of Gordon's face as he watches. lol
Chicken in a pumpkin. Gordon holding his phone with an aerial view is classic.
If processed and canned food was not a thing, Josh and Mama would starve 😂😂
EXACTLY- my tummy could not handle that.. ick...😊
So in Canada we call what you refer to as sweet tea as ice tea. So my dad went on a group trip to the southern US (Nashville, I believe) and he was out at a restaurant and he thought to himself, ice tea would be great right now. He ordered an ice tea. When he took his first sip he was horrified because it was literally that. Iced tea. No sugar in sight 😂😂 he didn't realize down there that what we call ice tea in Canada is referred to as sweet tea. So he began dumping sugar packs into his drink as fast as possible until it was something he could drink. He learned his lesson 😂😂😂
People usually complain we have too much sweet tea in the South, so this is a new one for me! What do you call unsweet tea in Canada??
@@profoundpunk it doesn't really exist outside of being a hot beverage which we just call tea. We don't usually put ice in our tea. And if we do, it's with honey or other sweeteners.
@@profoundpunk our iced tea is nestea, brisk etc. sweet tea or iced unsweetened tea is not a thing here
@@profoundpunkIced tea without any sugar would usually be labelled as unsweetened or sugar is replaced with stevia, etc. , but I don't think I've ever seen it completely unsweetened.
As someone who grew up in a trailer park for the first 3 years of my life (literally before I was conscious lol) and had family always live in a trailer until recently, trailer park meals are fire don’t disregard them😂

@@italianstallian64 🤣🤣🤣
But that Spaghetti and Meatballs he made looked more edible than key's whole menu
In my house, you pour the hot tea over ice in the pitcher to immediately cool it off. It’s how my great grandmother did it and it tastes perfect!
My roommate's sweet tea is the best I've ever had!
The secret ingredient? Replace one cup of sugar with 2/3 cup of honey! It will be just as sweet but has more depth to it. Insanely good with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice in it.
I put my money on Kay. Her food is at least edible despite the presentation 🤣
And actually cooks. Not just putting bunch of canned products in a foil pan lol
@@chuggyhuggy8783that too lol
Kays food being edible? Maybe if you don't have taste buds. At least the canned shit has salt
@@BronzedBeast tell that to Lee 🤣🤣

Trash Cansgiving. When you throw something away in the trash, it's gone. You can't resurrect something for food from the trash can. This is why I don't eat everyone's food.
Steep 4-6 teabags in 1 gallon of hot water then stir in 2 - 3 cups of sugar. Fill cup full of ice, pour tea over ice, ice eventually dilutes sweet tea to perfection.
They showed everything but the finished mac-n -cheese or did I miss it.
Man you guys really put THAT much sugar in tea? 2-3 cups is INSANE. It's like a cup per liter. It's literally more than a QUARTER CUP of sugar per cup of tea. That's anywhere from 10 to 20 packets of sugar like the ones you get on coffee shops on Each Cup .
@@_korbo_ I like making my tea concentrated and dilute it too the person's liking. That's what the ice is for. I don't recommend drinking my tea as is straight out of the pitcher. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 My tea comes with a warning. Dilute before consuming. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I was born & raised in Kentucky. I use to LOVE sweet tea, however, I moved to Chicago and it took me about 7 years to bring myself to visit Kentucky. During the mean time my whole dietary habits changed since being in Chicago, I took a sip of sweet tea, nearly choked to death 😂 my grandmother proceeded to tell me moving to Chicago made me boujee since I couldn’t drink the syrup that they called sweet tea. Literally felt like I had a sugar high for hours 😂😂😂 now I see why most my family there is on insulin
Honestly! If I'm gonna have that much sugar in a drink, I'd rather have a soda lmao
I use the boil in the bag rice a lot. I’d like a rice cooker but can’t justify the expense. The bag is a specific type of plastic that doesn’t degrade or break down in the hot water and when the rice is cooked you lift the bag out of the water, let it drain for a minute then rip off a corner and serve. It’s very convenient and easy and it never boils dry or burns etc.
You can make rice in a pot! I have a rice cooker but I still end up doing it on the stove top. Price wise it is cheaper to buy (in bulk) but it doesn’t cook as quickly. If that helps you in the future. No hate though, I love minute rice. We eat all types in my house. 😂
you do know you can cook rice in a saucepan, right??? It literally takes 15 minutes. Wash the rice, put it in the pot and put enough water to come up to the first knuckle of your finger when touching the top of the rice, bring to a boil and turn off the hob when you see craters forming on the surface of the rice, leave the lid on for another 10-15 minutes so it steams and its done.
Oh I don’t use any kind of “instant” rice. And I have tried to cook rice just in a saucepan several times but every time it hasn’t cooked properly and I’m the only one that cooks so when it’s time for dinner and rice is on the menu I take the easy option of boil in the bag other wise dinner would be ruined.
12:01 all of kens Southern impressions had me dying😩😂☠️
Lol I love Josh and Momma the 2nd ham she had previously cooked in a crock pot/cauldron with coke lawd have mercy
Oooooh. That's why it looks like that. Coke in the ham. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That makes me a little less concerned that it's a giant brick of mold. But considerably more concerned at the amount of sugar this family eats on the daily. Cook it in Coke and then add a tin of pineapple too?! LAWD
Black Eyed Peas are supposed to bring you good fortune for the next year. My dad cooks them every year for New Year’s.
May I ask what culture this tradition stems from? Most white Americans only have the tradition of getting drunk (but that’s the same tradition for every holiday) 😆😅
Not sure if it's a specific culture but my father always said it was an Irish thing but I know that the South adopted it@@Super_Grover_
@@Super_Grover_"most white americans" according to who?
I know you mean the beans, but my brain immediately went to the band and let me tell you that was a very interesting mental image, the Black Eyed Peas pulling up to your house and blessing you with good fortune 😂
Usually South. My dad was from Atlanta and he cooked black eyed peas and collard greens every New Year's day. I live in Florida and after Christmas Publix puts canned black eyed peas and fresh collards on BOGO at the front of the store.
I also get that "You don't sound southern!" comment a lot where I work, it takes every FIBER of my being not to fire back with the most stereotypical southern-sounding "Whale OH MAH STARS, I'm sorry 'bout that hon!"
First video I saw of theirs was the Thanksgiving one. I was in utter shock😂 Also born and raised in NC and my current sweet tea “recipe” is boil 8 cups of water, steep 4 tea bags for 4 mins, add two cups of sugar and mix until dissolved and then add to a pitcher with 8 cups of cold water! Chefs kiss!👌🏼😂 It’s sweet but not the McDonalds syrup tea!
I already knew this mom was a faker because she has the decorative pioneer woman kitchen ware and isn’t using a single piece of it for her “cooking”.
I thought the same when I noticed the pioneer woman stuff 🤣 to be fair my own momma cooks and bakes a whole lot and is a wonderful baker but most of that decorative pioneer woman stuff she don’t touch for her actual cooking much except for the bowls lol
Right. It's just decor. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Wow, imagine having wealth but no skills
They forgot to mention how Momma lays the can lid, dirty side down, on the counter! I love her!
when Ken brought up the 3 cups of sugar in the sweet tea I felt diabetes creepin up 💀😂
Right? I’m southern, and I feel like I put too much when I do a cup and a half 😅. We do 1 1/4 cup of sugar usually and that’s just enough, if we wanted a more sweet batch I’d push it to 1 1/2 cups.
Ken, there is rice that you’re supposed to cook in the plastic bag. Like it says so on the box.
Lived off those in uni
So bad for you
Helps you get your microplastics in for the day
I JUST LMAO when he said "olll"... I've always picked on the hubby for saying it like that.
I like how he said “ok they have spices back here” but it’s actually pill bottles 5:03
We boil a teapot worth of water. When it boils you steep the tea bags for 20-30 mins. In a gallon jug you add about a cup and 1/2 of sugar but you can adjust this for taste or add artificial sweetener if you are trying to cut back. Pour the still hot tea water into the jug so the sugar dissolves completely and make sure to stir well. Top off the rest of the jug with cold water and let the jug sit in the fridge overnight or serve over ice. If you want flavored sweet tea you can make infused simple sugar syrups from fruit.
Eating while seeing awful food. Love you Ken!
Omg.... This is like prepper cooking. There ain't nothing fresh going in her oven lol
I’ve been watching Josh and momma since they only had a few thousand subscribers. It’s been so fun watching their channel grow I’m so invested 😂

I'm just dying watching Ken struggle and fail to find the "potion" like 5 times in this video.
I use that kind of rice she used. You keep it in the bag an boil it for 5 min. Let it sit for another min then open bag which is super easy cuz of all the tiny holes for the water an steam to get through. I use it when I make red beans an rice. I usually use two bags tho one aint enough for more than two or 3 people imo

I was always told New Year’s Day dinner needed to be pork and cabbage. Pork for health and cabbage for wealth. I always asked for a salad with cabbage instead of cooking it because I hated the smell. For whatever reason mom refused.
Yep pork and krout make it every year.😊

When we were little, the rice in the bag was the coolest idea. The rice cooks in the bag and you just give the pot a quick wash for next time.
Danes laugh always brightens my day. So pure lol
A lot of these Tiktok cooking/recipe videos reminds me of when I was a kid/teen and had to cook for myself and grabbed all the stuff I liked from the pantry and mixed it together. I didn't know how to cook and didn't know any better, so my idea of a recipe was 'a can of beef ravioli with a box of cheez-its' or something like that. It's really sad to see full grown adults, PARENTS on top of that, using recipes I would have used back when I was a kid. Every ingredient is some hyper processed foodstuff all mixed together and nary a whole ingredient in sight. We've failed ourselves as a society.
"She's a different kind of witch using her pot" this woman ain't cooking in no pot lol
Just gotta say ive watched you both daily for many many years and you guys have always been my favourite sesh buddies 😂❤
My sweet tea recipe is about just about 1 gallon or a little more. I use 10 tea bags and leave them in as it boils and right when it reaches a rolling boil I turn the heat off and cover the pot with a lid and let it steep for 3-4 hours then I add about 2 cups of sugar after it steeps. That's how my ex who I met in college used to make it and she was from Georgia. Then again it's just tea and not rocket science lmao.
