I pray you are both blessed with children soon. You are completely correct - society is valuing all the wrong things and taking people away from their natural purpose. Of course, as someone below commented - it is not everyone’s wish however - that is their choice. Great episode and please keep doing what you are doing. I really wish I had heard content like yours when I was young!
This reminds me so much of when my husband and I were doing premarital counseling and there was a question in the workbook along the lines of the concept of this person being the one and how God revealed that to us. When we met with our pastor next, we explained how we left that question blank because we don’t believe that there is “a one” for you and that people get to choose who they want to commit to. Fortunately the pastor was also in that same mindset.
Also, 3 days before our wedding day we actually almost called everything off but then felt we were too far in so we will just get married and be miserably married the rest of our lives. Of course that absolutely changed once we were officially married. I believe that was the devil attacking us and trying to prevent a marriage from happening since marriage is so powerful.
Many agreements to the “are they the one” comment. When I was still living at home, before I met and married my husband, my father explained it to me like this:
God does indeed have someone designed to be your spouse, but if you don’t go in the way of life in which you’d meet that person, yet God has truly called you to be wed someday, He will bring along someone else who you can still serve and glorify the Lord with. If I had continued on with my college education, maybe God would have had me marry someone from that school. However since I didn’t go back, the Lord brought someone else, my now husband, in His most perfect time. Yes, God knows who you are going to marry, but…you can’t limit the Almighty God, who created marriage, to only “one plan” for your life. •ᴗ•
Yes girl!! You said it!! Oh my word the amount of couples with dogs just kills me 😂😂😂😂 no joke they are everywhere and I’ve thought the same thing that they really are just replacing having children with a dog!
even worse is couples who are still only in the dating phase & go out to get a dog. Then they figure out that the person is not who they are meant to be with, but they refuse to part due to arguments over ownership of a DOG!!! Know a couple of couples in their 20s in this category. I'm in my 40s and had kids by their ages & am so confused!

Not all girls want to marry prince charming and have babies- I was raised in traditional household, stay at home mother, praying, church, faith- and i never wanted any of that. When i was 5 i was already saying i dont want to have a husband. Never in my life felt desire to have kids. Im 28 and it never changed. Im also not "sleeping around", i never was into that either. I really dont think its culture that brainwashed me- i never wanted kids, never liked visiob of being stay-at-home parent, since i was little- even though my parents were traditional christian couple.
