- This week were using Dixie Belle Chalk Mineral paint again. This time I am focusing on the Patina Paint, which creates a beautiful rust patina! I must admit the way it works fascinating creating what I think is real rust patina. Definitely a wonderful way to get this effect! We also used their other products like Gator Hide, Black Wax, and of course some Dixie Belle Paint! Join me for another DIY painted furniture makeover.

This turned out stunningly beautiful! A real piece of art. Makes you want to sit and just look at and study it. Itâs always the last 1/4 of the project when it starts to come together. Fantastic job!
Ok this may be my all time favorite piece you have done! I love that you don't give up if it isn't coming together as quickly as you wanted and instead take a step back and let the piece take on it's own story and life. This dresser is seriously stunning and the colors play off of eachother perfectly! Thanks for letting me know you had another video using the patina collection.

WOW! Yoours work is the best of all I have seen! I just started watching these type of videos. I was wanting to do a peacock or coastal theme in living, dinning and family room. I couldnt find distressed to buy for a dinning set for coastal so thats why I was watching these to learn , but now after seeing this I think I wll do peacock and try to make it look like this! I can imagive the gold peacock decor pieces on my sideboard with the gold! OMG! It will be beautiful. I felt I had to buy a formal dinning set with peacock or keep my cherry wood but this looks formal and classy with the gold accent and the colors are perfect! I do feel you may have went through a lot more steps than needed though. Why couldnt you just use the base paint and just do the patina around the edges. Like the top drawers were solid patina and the bottoms werent but yet looks the same. Seems you could have skipped the petinia all ttogether and used the brown and the black wax and got the same effect. . Can you buy dixie belle at craft stores like Michaels? You really can mix colors together đ thats the hardest part cus you must have a good imagination how it will look. I just do gold, copper, black, silver, green, dark blue and pink colors. Im afraid to try something else đ you are a great inspiration go girl đ
I would say don't be afraid! Most of the time even when you don't get what you imagined you get something very nice! I have discovered lots of colors this way!
