Just amazing!
These are the perfumes you miss as a car driver. I lost my licence due to illness and now i smell the perfumes again. I can even tell where i am because of these aromas. Rosehips etc. Fantastic!!!
One of my favourite random conversations here in Austria was with an elderly wren-like lady who told me about the healing properties of Holler (Elder), but also how traditionally people would tip their hats or otherwise greet Frau Holler when they passed by. This reminded me of the first time I made elderflower champagne and how my friend's mother's instructions included asking permission and thanking Mother Elder as part of the recipe.
To this day I greet the Elder tree where i met the wren-like lady and many other Elder I encounter
Goodness 😃❤
Elderberreeeeees, love them...got some bottles of homemade cordial in the fridge 😊

Thank you for sharing your amazing knowledge of all the natural stuff and your wonderful book! Blessed Be!
Thank you
Thank you, I love your videos, makes me feel comfort. Great food.
Absolutely agree. I make a couple of bottles of elderberry syrup for use every winter. Keep those coughs and colds away and enjoy your frosty winter walks.
Hi to you both
I have grown 20 elderberry trees on my land and just bought your book as well as subscribing. However your channel will grow if you like and reply to comments as it shows you appreciate all your followers

I love your enthousiasm, thank you for the info. Love the info about letters from doctors saying elderberries are natural antibiotics!
And, love the music!
It’s is such a fantastic channel and music. So informative and such a lovely warm and friendly presenter.
Great garden
I mix them into my porridge, add a bit sweetness instead of sugar
I picked loads of stuff this year. The elderberry were really good and plentiful they woz hanging from the tree like grapes (beautiful)
I planted two elder plants last year. They were just tiny plants and lost their leaves over winter. We're almost at spring here in NZ so im hoping they grow well. My kids are so prone to colds and sickness in winter, im hoping to collect this coming season and save for medicine for next winter.
Thank you for this video. I grow Elderberries too. I just ordered you book just now.
I have a huge Hawthorne tree right in front of our house and lately I just hired a tree company To make sure she is healthy since I lost one last year in a wind storm. I have it fed
and pruned correctly-
And this year we have never had so many berries! My dog can’t stop eating these and I didn’t know about seed inside. Is it poisonous ? I sweep them 3 x a day to the side around this time - stone- I just love the color but I just never knew how to do anything with them! I know my vet had said they are great for the heart so that is when I learned that. Can’t wait to try some recipes now!
I love your videos and passion for nature. I have multiple black Elder trees growing in my garden and make many different things from them. Such a versatile plant and a great addition to any medicinal garden.
Where I grew up on the other dry side of the Cascade Mtns. in the Pacific Northwest we had American Elderberry Sambucus canadensis which is a shrub. A wheelbarrow can be filled with the berries in a few minutes. On the wet side of the mountains in the PNW, we have red elderberry. Pretty to look at but not something I eat. Supposedly some eat the red.
The black are the best. The red is more toxic, is what I hear
I'm in Florida zone 9A here and I just finished picking elderberries. . I will be making syrup today, and I take it everyday of the year.
Thanks Dane, Elder is one of my favourites and I'm lucky enough to have one in my garden . Not enough on it this year so I'll go a foraging tomorrow and make some of the syrup. Thanks again for all your hard work and advice 🍯🍅🍓🌳🐝🐞🌼
Collect half a bucket full and make elderberry wine! Delicious 😊

Tis the Season 😊
Grant knowledge 🙏 thank you! God bless
Excellent 👍
Happy to say I know have both your very good books 🙏
Appreciate this video - like - a lot.
Love your channel,thankyou x
I am impressed by the sheer size of your bushes! I haven't found any here since I was a kid, shame it's been that long since I have tried any. I guess they were pushed out by other non native bushes. Would you by chance be selling seeds? I could replenish my area here come spring.
I am afraid to try these thinking I will confuse them with poke berries and poison myself
We planted 3 little elderberry plants last year. 2 are about a foot tall now. One put out flowers & a single group of berries🙂. I'm hoping they grow next year! I'm having trouble! My comfrey & borage want to die. My clover didn't come back. My mint are barely spreading. I'm too impatient I think.
Thanks for this, i dont like taking antibiotics unless im really sick in hospital. There's masses round here.
Don't swallow the seeds. Cook and strain before consuming or dehydrated.
Probably shouldn't eat the seeds. Precurser danger.
But again its your body.
Make good choices folks.❤
What about elderberry wine?.
does your book have the recipes such as the elderberrie syrop ect? im in canada does your book contain canadian forage? or are they mostly UK forage?
Great information thank you! 🙏
Are the sambucas black lace edible?
what is the recipe for the syrup??🙏
How can I get some to grow on my land
??
But a plant, or take cuttings and root some
@jewel2022now can I get from any normal garden centre or would I have to order special as I can't find any locally to take cuttings
@@michaelwolf8915what part of the world are you in? Your local garden nursery should be able to order it in if they don't stock it but Elder is really easy to take cuttings of if you can find a source.
Wales United Kingdom and thanks I will check out the local garden centre's 😀
@@michaelwolf8915familiarise yourself with what the elderberry bush looks like. Then take a long walk in the countryside. You'd be very unlucky not to find one that you could take a spray from to use for cuttings
Where are you located?
