  • Waylon Jennings & the Waymore Blues Band, “Never Say Die”, from Never Say Die: The Final Concert Film, Nashville, Jan. '00
    Listen to Waylon Jennings: WaylonJennings...
Waylon Jennings played his last major concert at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium in January 2000. Backed by the all-star Waymore Blues Band (“the band I always wanted,” he later recalled) along with his wife Jessi Colter and guests John Anderson, Travis Tritt and Montgomery Gentry, Waylon delivered a moving, exhilarating performance, revisiting his greatest songs one last time.

    Lyrics:
Well, there's snow on the mountain, a fire down below
No place to hide, but there's no place to go
Seems like I'm surrounded by the trouble in the air
If there's any way out I can't find it anywhere
    But I'll never say die
    Never say die
I ain't givin' in or givin' up without a try
    No I'll never say die
I'd gladly give up all my baubles, my watch and golden chain
Blue shiny roadster, and my sexy walkin' cane
All of my prized possessions, that I love, you know I do
Any time, any where, just to find my place with you
    But I'll never say die
    Never say die
I ain't givin' in or givin' up without a try
    No I'll never say die
I don't want your greenback dollar
    It could never be enough
Just your sweet love and your body
So you might as well just as well give it up
    But I'll never say die
    Never say die
I ain't givin' in or givin' up without a try
    No I'll never say die

Waylon was a master at performing on stage, he had that special trait that made him a natural, I don't think there was a shy or embarrassing bone in his body, he was the same performing in front of thousands as he was 10 or 20, definitely a legend, I don't think we'll ever see another Waylon, R.I.P. buddy 🎸

Being that there's a change shortage and all, I'm gonna donate my 2 cents here! lol
I am 50 years old (for 11 more days anyway) and fortunately i was blessed with the ability to listen to and appreciate all kinds of different music genres and much like everyone else there's particular ones that stand out, for me personally (when times are tough i play my go to stuff) that list includes lifelong front runners that will certainly bring on a few dark days in my life when they pass such as Ozzy Osbourne, Elton John, Metallica, Van Halen, Iron Maiden, and Billy Squier! These guys helped get me through my life a little easier for sure! lol But let's not get it twisted, it truely scares me a little when i think about the things in my life i'd
consider giving up if someone told me they had a time machine and ticket that would put my big ass in one of the chairs in that room Waylons playing in here! I mean seriously, how does a guy even begin to tell his sister that she's been traded for one chair that's probably uncomfortable as hell to begin with?
Would be a tough spot to be in, cause i will miss her! lol

i don,t know why someone is using the voice of waylon to relate messages to me when the man has already passed away, and i find it not funny in the least! if you got something to say than come right out and be a man and talk to me. im an alcohoic and everything in between!! before playing your games i had already made the decision to go back into recovery and i start with a sponser november26 and meeting with him in avila beach, his name is Greg Smith, the saxiphone player who toured and played for The Eagles for over ten years and is still playing for people, so need to check on me than go for it, the only thing I want to know is! do I suck at singing or am i a good enough to sing with your group? just say say it and if I suck than tell me and I will disappear faster than the blink of an eye..
