- Uru: Ages Beyond Myst is a puzzle-adventure video game developed by Cyan Worlds and published by Ubisoft, originally released in November 2003. It follows the discovery and restoration of an ancient city built by the D’ni, a mysterious civilization that could create portals to other worlds by writing books. The game’s story is connected to the real world, as the D’ni were found by archeologists in the New Mexico desert and their history was revealed through the Myst series. The player starts near the entrance to the D’ni caves, where they meet Zandi and Yeesha, two characters who guide them on their journey to explore and revive the D’ni culture.

I want to return to the Cleft so badly. It was amazing seeing it rendered in full after reading The Book of Atrus. I wish I had experienced URU Online when it was a thing. Easily my most favorite game in the series... at least until I went ahead and activated the hidden Easter Egg in the desert that allowed me to drive the Zamboni and then I fell through the ground and it corrupted my save permanently!
This is way cool,Alpha Yellow😀👍🏻👌🏻🎞️Like your Uru gameplay video. Will try get this sometime..I like that you see your character..quite some differences to Myst+Riven. Great for the Adventure-Puzzle genre and a nice game..Thanks on the share,my Friend👍🏻😀👌🏻🎞️🎮Regards Ryan
Would be fun to see the Myst Online ages too! (totally free to play on their website)
Ooh really?
Omg I played myst and uru as a child with my dad !! I would love a path of the shell walkthrough
Might do the expansions too yeah
Honestly, I prefer this type of gameplay compared to the slideshow of the original. After hours of not knowing what to do exactly, I gave up. But this I might consider. I wonder if you can create a girl.
Yeah, I also prefer 3D scenarios instead of the static ones from other Myst games, it just feels way more immersive :D. That's right, you can create either a female or male character
Back in the old days it was not possible to have nice graphics AND it being 3D. So Myst and Riven were for the time absolutely stunning and ground braking, because they brought beautiful sceneries to the PC screen.
@@Yoctopory It did look nice, I'll give it that. At least on the Saturn version I had.
Me encantó este juego y toda la serie
The myst series is such a strange game series in which the quality of the graphics have always gone downward over the years imo.
Riven (1997) looks so much better than Exile (2001), Exile looks so much better than Uru (2003)...
What about Myst 4? I recall that looking amazing for the time
That one is an improvement again on Exile and URU but i still prefer Riven in terms of looks@@arbitterm
URU, what a nice exciting game, I have played all Myst CDs and after years I am always eager to play. I think the player here in the video is running far too fast through the buildings and the landscape. I turn over almost every stone and look out of the windows
Greetings from Stuttgart, Germany
This is awesome. I had Riven and Myst as a kid. How did this pass me by? Is it a sequel and or????? Any info would be great. Sorry im lazy and dont wana google . Hey.. at least i admit it 😅😅😅😅
Anyone can play this with the book right in front of them
🔥🔥🔥💪🎮💛

That's fair since it's so different from the other games
