Neat way to do it I like it. But I have a question, why in the world would you shoot a bearded hen?

Thank you. Actually the bearded hens were killed a long time ago before it was frowned upon. I wouldn’t do it now but at one time it was considered a trophy

Do Turkey Beards grow back? I pulled a beard off a live wild Turkey and I assumed they grew back.

That is a interesting question. I had to do some research to find out before I could answer. The way it was told to me was that if a turkey tore its beard off or it was shot off the only way it would grow back is if the papilla ( the small place on its breast where the beard grows from) was not damaged then Yes it could grow back. But if it was damaged such as pulling the beard out of its breast completely then it would not grow back... The beard grows 4 to 5 inch's per year so if there is no permanent by the following year it would have grown that much.... hope this answers your question.. I would love to hear the story on how this happened with you and the wild turkey... please share and thanks for watching
