Chills...this is how a live mix should sound. The guitars are massive and clear. Vocals are clear. This sounds better than the record. I've been a Big Wreck fan for a long time. To say these guys are criminally underrated is a massive understatement.

Fun fact: Velvet Revolver approached/asked Ian Thornley to front the band, he turned it down, he just can never see himself fronting a band without a guitar. He's a guitar player first, vocalist comes second. I think it worked out for him, he knows his identity as a musician and an artist.

How many times have I heard that fricking song? Hundreds? Close to a thousand? Probably.

Welcome to the club Rod, many of us have been wondering the same thing for almost 20 years.
But y'know what... in this age of talentless sellouts, there's much to be said for a group that has held true to themselves, their music and their fans.
Gaining a larger world audience would have meant becoming something else, something less, than they currently are.
      Nobody would have benefitted.

One of the most under-rated bands of all time and the number of comments sadly shows this. Excellent song writing on all releases and still not getting the airplay they deserve. Thornley's solo work is just as grand as well. It is sad when no talent hacks and re-manufactured grooves rule the air and satellite waves. Love the responses to this video. I have been a Big Wreck fan for a long time... stumbled across them. I was always shocked at how many people never heard of them. I would mention them and people thought I was crazy.. These guys rock!!!! If you love this, watch "Blown Wide Open"..... it's just an out of body experience! haha.. it's awesome.

That jumping at 0:53 is awesome! Real musicians having fun. I've played in Tennessee bar bands for 40 years(I'm 58) now and still, when the band is tight and the groove is there, I'm bouncing all over the place! One of my all-time top ten favorite songs and was a bitch to learn until I figured out the tuning.

I'm southern USA born and live in Alabama, lived on a farm, Most consider this to be about as southern a it gets. My all time most favorite bad was I Mother Earth, Now this band comes along. So my question is this. Why is it so hard for a Canadian Band to get the Respect They Deserve? This band is truly in a league of their own. So maybe some of you Canadians can tell us, "Well if you dig this band, you'll love..." What else is the rest of the universe missing?

+Joe Dean It's just exposure. Big Wreck has been doing it for years. Iconic in Canada for sure and their live performances are always this good! Unfortunately, success is tied to mainstream radio and Big Wreck was making it's waves in the 90s. I am trying to think of who else you might like.

+Joe Dean I'll fill you in on a few.... The Tragically Hip are Canadian icons. Monster Truck is a relatively new band that has that southern rock bluesy feel to them. Check them out! Country artists - The Road Hammers and Tim Hicks are badass as well. I have seen Big Wreck and Ian Thornley (lead singer) almost a dozen times and they are absolutely amazing live... and I have seen some major acts live (U2, Pearl Jam, Metallica among many others).
