The big gun wasn't firing because the mech that had it was in the back. Mechs won't shoot if there's a friendly mech between them and their target. On the bottom left of the battle console there's a "free will control" slider. The closer to the left it is the more closely they'll stick to wherever you tell them to go. If you slide it to the right they'll shift around near their designated area to get better firing angles.
Ah, excellent, thank you! I was wondering if there was friendly fire or not.
@@MetalCanyon They won't fire through mechs, but if a mech happens to hit another mech with a stray bullet it doesn't hurt them. To my knowledge the only FF in the game is from explosive weapons. And they explicitly say the explosions can damage mechs in the weapon modifying screen. Even the heat zones left by the heat weapon modifier don't seem to effect mechs, though this is just from observation.
@@alfa-hf7lp Thanks!
Uh. That was close.
The game feels very hard. Maybe you are still missing something? Or it is supposed to be challenging 🤷
Yes, I'm missing a brain. :D
@@MetalCanyon Ah, do not be so harsh :) In this game, without proper manual, it is very easy to just not see something that might be important and change the missions dramatically, like the mod for armor penetration.
