Thanks man! I try to stay of any roads faster than 60mph. I have taken it on the interstate a few times in a pinch...it doesn't get to be a pain until about 75mph...i can live with that. Haha!

Is that a Versys 650 ? What is the original factory size for the rear tire ? I just bought a 2017 Versys 650. Want a set of 80/20's to put on it but nothing seems to fit the factory sizes.

120/70-17 is stock front size.

So the the 70R17 do fit! I thought they were too big and the front fender would get in the way!
You need to check my newer videos on this, I ended up going with a bigger front tire.
@@mxgryan the one about 17 to 19 front wheel conversion? Well this is a bit beyond my abilities as a human being (I'm no mechanic by any means). I just want to try some basic off-roading. If I like it I maybe later switch to a proper dual-sport like yamaha tenere. Thanks for the tip though! 👍
Yes, it's just a taller tire that makes the bike handle like it has a 19. It's the single biggest improve you can do to a Versys without a doubt. I would never go back to the tire in this video, it's sketchy

They are fine. I'm not happy with the Versys front end though.
@@mxgryan I assume you are referring to its performance off pavement. I like the handling on pavement, but when I travel onto dirt it feels like I'm getting rattled, beaten up. So I think this bike is great on the road and marginal on the dirt. I was wondering if different tires make a difference to want to go travel more dirt. Im thinking a true dual sport is probably the answer for those type of rides.
@@matthewdittrich2976 no, I'm referring to the front end on anything BUT pavement. The 17 inch front wheel is pathetic on gravel and dirt, I can't stand it.
