- LEGO Lord of the Rings coming back has been so exciting! I never grew up with LOTR, so this has been my chance to finally figure out what it even is... my husband is the biggest Tolkien nerd I know and he's given me a quick crash course, which has been helpful! I've had a lot of fun building out a LOTR / Middle Earth inspired world in our LEGO City because building nature and hills is one of my favorites, but I'm also challenged more by the river which has been fun!

Your “chaosness” and constant changing of your city layout is part of what makes your channel great. Why? Because it’s exactly what many LEGO fans go through all the time. It’s real and relatable. Keep up the amazing work.
My interest in this channel has doubled since it randomly became a LOTR channel 😂 You should definitely have a path going from the Shire to the Medieval blacksmith (make it the Prancing Pony in Bree!), to Weathertop, to Rivendell

cool idea - maybe you can place all the buildings that you plan to use in this little path that shows the progression of the story! (Starts in the shire and keeps going to Bree and Rivendell etc)

SUGGESTION: Check out Bricksie’s channel on building MILS plate; it will allow you to arrange, or rearrange, your city more easily. The technique provides a strong mobile base for each MOC. It also allows you to wire your city up for lighting or other electrical power functions.
We’ve been using MILS for about two years now and it’s been so helpful!! Being at the start of this area of the city, we are still really just focusing on the layout! But yes definitely agree MILS is the way to go!
I saw the nature green area as you we’re building in another video. It really turned out nice. The gray wall also goes nice with that gray castle thing, anywhere along the wall . Consider
In my opinion, if you put the Tower of Orthanc in the front, it blocks the view of any set behind it.
If you're just placing the LOTR sets around for a medieval look, then it would be best to put towards the back shelf/layer that Rivendell is on, aka taking the spot of Bag End/The Shire.
That way, the tall tower is still there without blocking the view of any other sets you put around
Loving the progress on the city.
Since the Hobbit story takes place in Middle Earth too, Smaug does belong. The downside is mixing eras-Smaug is gone by the time Fellowship begins. But the Misty Mountains are there, and they have to get through Mirkwood to get there. Mirkwood is where the spiders belong, not to mention Legolas is from there.
The Shire does belong roughly where it is, map-wise. The journey is from northwest to southeast.
MiddleEarth is looking great Can't wait to see what it looks like in the end! Also it would be funny if you had a knight being chased by some of the Orcs

I was scrolling through shorts and found one short about you replying to those "have you got" questions and I was just absolutely amazed my this Lego city it must of taking you lots of effort to,build and money. I have also watched all of other vids and am excited for middle earth. Also just giving an idea me loving Lego in general and dinosaurs it would be so awesome and cool if you added like a jurassic park area somewhere

For the river you are making you should make the scene where all the hobbits are in barrels and are being chased by orcs. My favorite scene in the hobbit

You should connect the roller coaster and loop coaster together! There’s a few really easy ways to do it and a few different videos on CZcams to show you how. The easiest way to do it joins them together at a 90 degree angle so it’s perfect for the back corner where you have the red and white coaster, and only requires changing a couple of the orientations of track pieces and then you have to raise the whole loop coaster by one or two plates, it’s pretty simple to do.
Aside from the tracks being different colors it works really well, and you can motorize both and get the timing right to have 2 separate sets of carts running at the same time, one climbing the red and white coaster while the other is being raised on the loop coaster. Would be cool to see you guys do it!

It could be neat to create a bridge/transition from the fantasy stuff to the modern stuff using the Disney castle.
If you have seen the hobbit film, then there is a big forrest with spiders and the Elve's castle. Maybe you could make a smaller version of that. Keep up the great work too!

you don't have to do the Isengard from the LOTR moment in time, remember, the Ents went to destroy it because they discovered how much Sauroman had deforested the area, so around the time of the hobbit, or even during the start of the first movie (like 40 mins in) when Gandalf visitsit, it would still have been full of trees around it and inside of the walls.

You could maybe do a small forest to transition from the Lord of the Rings to the city! You could use Attack on Weathertop and to transition into the city you could have some Girl Scouts camping or on a horseback trail ride! If you wanted to add a splash of Disney, you could also include the Winnie the Pooh set! 💖
Honestly I think every building u add, it should have tiles underneath ground level so it can just slide it and out I think it would be much easier but I think it’s to late now 😂
