  • Space rocket launch compilation of super heavy-lift launch vehicles. Orbital spaceflights (rocket launches):
    0:00 Go To Space
    0:07 Falcon Heavy rocket alunch
    1:57 N1 rocket launch
    2:56 SLS B1 rocket launch
    4:22 Energia rocket launch
    5:02 Saturn V rocket launch
    7:11 Starship rocket launch
    Payload to LEO:
    Falcon Heavy : 63.8 t (141,000 lb)
    N1 : 95 t
    SLS Block 1 : 95 t
    Energia : 100 t
    Saturn V : 140 t
    Starship : 100-150t reusable config. / 250 t expendable config.
    A super heavy-lift launch vehicle is a rocket that can lift to low Earth orbit a "super heavy payload", which is defined as more than 50 metric tons (110,000 lb) by the United States and as more than 100 metric tons (220,000 lb) by Russia. It is the most capable launch vehicle classification by mass to orbit, exceeding that of the heavy-lift launch vehicle classification.
    Saturn V was a NASA launch vehicle that made 12 orbital launches between 1967 and 1973, principally for the Apollo program through 1972. As of 2023, the Saturn V remains the only launch vehicle to have carried humans beyond low Earth orbit (LEO).
    The Energia launcher was designed by the Soviet Union to launch up to 105 t (231,000 lb) to low Earth orbit. Energia launched twice in 1987/88 before the program was cancelled by the Russian government.
    The partially reusable Falcon Heavy falls into the heavy-lift range of launch systems, capable of lifting 20-50 t (44,000-110,000 lb) into low Earth orbit (LEO). A fully expendable Falcon Heavy is in the super heavy-lift category with a maximum payload of 64 t (141,000 lb) to low Earth orbit.
    The Space Launch System (SLS) is a US government super heavy-lift expendable launch vehicle developed by NASA. It is slated to be the primary launch vehicle for NASA's deep space exploration plans, including the planned crewed lunar flights of the Artemis program and a possible follow-on human mission to Mars in the 2030s.
    The SpaceX Starship system is a two-stage-to-orbit fully reusable launch vehicle being privately developed by SpaceX, consisting of the Super Heavy booster as the first stage and a second stage, also called Starship. It is designed to be a long-duration cargo and passenger-carrying spacecraft.
    The N1 was a three-stage super heavy lift launch vehicle developed in the Soviet Union from 1965 to 1974. It was the Soviet counterpart to the Saturn V, however all four test flights of the vehicle ended in flight failure. For lunar missions it would carry the L3 crewed lunar payload into Low Earth Orbit.

    Until now, only USA and USSR achieved in building super heavy lift vehicles. Let's see if China joins them in the future.

      Idk if you can count Sea Dragon, it was only a concept. But hey I hope to see Yenisei in the future.

      I'm including the Sea Dragon on my list because it's my favorite concept rocket. I would also like to see the Yenisei in real life, it will be amazing 🚀🚀🚀

    Delta 4 Heavy, ULA?

      Delta 4 Heavy is not "Super Heavy" but "Heavy" rocket. You can find the "Heavy" rocket compilation on the channel too

      Falcon heavy is also just a heavy rocket .

    N1 not Cancelled But Failed

    • @GoToSpace_GTS
      @GoToSpace_GTS  Před 7 měsíci +2

      It's true that the launches of N1 failed, but they could have kept trying, they were very close. They stopped, so it's considered a cancelled project.

      *Cancelled, the next two flight ready vehicles (8L and 9L, which were completed before the program was suspended) had the issues that plagued the previous 4 flights practically nailed down. Mishin being removed with the combination of both OKBs into NPO Energia killed the N1 completely.

    Is starship really a rocket though if it blew up both times before making it anywhere? 🤔 hilarious it even burns the same as the n1 and no one sees it. 😂

    • @GoToSpace_GTS
      @GoToSpace_GTS  Před 5 měsíci

      I would say that Starship is a spacecraft and a rocket. Stacked with Super Heavy booster, then it really is a launch system / space rocket. The explosions on both flights were controlled, SpaceX learned many things from those Tests. Elon Musk said that the second starship test flight woulded made it to orbit, the fact that there was no payload screw things up. Starship IFT-3 has many chances to be successful, and if not on that flight, then on the next ones.

      @@GoToSpace_GTS it's a theory of a rocket, you just don't know how to put into action, you even blew up the launch pad the first time and celebrated not blowing it up the second time...
