This movie definitely was a rollercoaster once again. The little slice of life in the movie between Trunks and Tapion genuinely had me emotional and i just love everything about Dragon ball man. Definitely another masterpiece from this franchise and i cant wait to see what else is in store! :)

Dragon Ball Z is such a masterpiece, it’s always such a somber feeling when an arc or movie ends. It feels like we wanna hang with the gang just bit longer. If you’re a fan of voice over comedy, I really think you’d enjoy the Dragon Ball Z Abridged series 👌🏾👌🏾👌🏾

Tapion and Trunks’ story is so heartwarming
The big bird story reminds me of something i saw in an old movie once. The character kept asking another character what the name of someone was. The persons name was Dr. What. The one character kept asking yes, but what his name was, and the other character would reply to what is his name was. They kept going around in a circle till they just said o forget it and moved on.
Honestly you need to check the Japanese soundtrack of this movie cause you CAN'T miss Tapion's ocarina OST in the Japanese version, also check the box version, kinda underrated

God I love Tapion, no other side character in a z movie got this much backstory while also being a great candidate for a possible new z fighter until dragonballs return in 2013. I hope one day they will make him canon with his own unique story and iconic moments like super’s beautiful treatment of broly.
The sword is a nod to Future Trunks' sword, it has the same design and all, this movie however isn't canon as is the case for all Z movies, and it's impossible for Future Trunks to have been given the sword or for this movie to happen for him aha, love the reactions to these!
I like to think that the universe always has anchor points that no matter how different a timeline it'll have things that always happen, and one of those is Trunks getting his hands on Tapion's sword (even though he isn't canon)

I think it’s a different sword because he was never this powerful, the Androids were still stronger than him, this is an alternative timeline, movies don’t follow the normal timeline

I remember when I first saw this as a kid and thought that was legitimately how Future Trunks got his sword, but at the same time I also thought it wouldn’t make sense either.

I just finished reading the manga of DBZ, gotta say one its one of the best mangas iv'e read.
I’m glad you enjoyed the series, new fans like you prove everytime that Dragon Ball isn’t only good due to nostalgia of long time fans people claim to be, it’s due to the characters that we got to know and love and the plot, even though it’s simple but still good and have you on edge as well as it’s great twists in storytelling and lastly the World building with different races such as Earthlings, Namekiens and of course Saiyans with their unique traits of skills, limitations or in the Saiyan’s case lack of limits. And of course the Fights.

@@Sanjistars The author and owners of Dragon ball have stated that the Movies and GT are canon because they are in alternate timelines (The timeline that future trunks comes from is another timeline and it’s also considered canon)
So basically everything from the 4 main series is canon but in another timeline.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who cries a lot when I watch anime. Even the simplest scenes like characters being there for each other and having a bonding moment makes me tear up. I cried too many times watching Hunter x Hunter, One Piece, and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.

I used to have a friend who tried to compared luffy to goku and to this day i still laugh at people comparing the power level wise, they're excuse is that luffy has rubber skin and that one crossover episode. First of all that crossover episode they nerfed goku down heavily to be on par with luffy and toriko, secondly just because luffy has rubber skin doesnt mean he cant feel pain and get knocked out along with the fact that goku could literally tear through him with especially on his level now, even if it was end of dbz goku he would of destroyed him

A rather fierce ending battle is the highlight to this one.
I enjoy the DBZ movies, but they usually all have the same flaw...they all could have used about 10 to fifteen minutes of plot development and about five more minutes of battle time. This one is no exception to the rule. Overall I enjoyed, but I thought it could use just a bit more. Here it is nice to see they take a differing approach with the evil foe as this monster is rather large and is not the usually just smaller or just bigger than Goku villain. This monster is about Godzilla size. They also introduce a new hero character as well and he is the main focus for the story part of the movie, the time before the ultimate ending battle. The plot has him and Trunks sort of becoming friends. Of course, this also has the part of the story where our plot is established and it is rather interesting, just needed a bit more to it. Then the last bit of the movie is a rather cool battle featuring many of the DBZ warriors including Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Goten and Trunks. The battle is rather nifty as the DBZ warriors get knocked around a bit by the behemoth foe. So on the whole it is a good movie just needed about 20 more minutes of play time to it.

I love this movie The only thing is it contradicts the whole dragon Ball z universe because in the movie it's present kid trunks who can already turn super Saiyan but in the anime the teen trunks from the future who has the sword turn super Saiyan after Gohan died fighting the Androids so it makes no sense... And in the anime they never said how he got the sword in the future he just has it
