It’s just to bad Funimation thought that, dragon fire would sound better. Goku makes a dragon with his fist, but the dragon looks like it’s partially made out of fire, so they picked that instead. Just why?

This is my favourite Z movie next to fusion reborn and in both especially this one, Goku ssj3 savagery is on another level! One of the coolest and STRONGEST MOVES 🐉 🔥 ✊👊 🔥 🐲 DRAGON FIST! Man this would have been great if used against Kid buu, that kid would wet himself 😂

Goku says "Dragon Fire" in the film instead of "Dragon Fist." Goku does something similar in DB, but they never mention it. It's like how Vegeta does something similar to the Final Flash against Reacoome, but it isn't really the Final Flash.
The script for the dub in the film is a little screwy. The real reason Goku and Trunks were able to hit Hirudegarn was because Hirudegarn materializes the moment it attacks. That's also why Goku attacks right when Hirudegarn does. It doesn't have anything the do with emotions. Nobody else could touch it because it was just constantly de-materializing.
Bro they literally said intense emotions drains Hirudegarns energy . Thats why Goku was taunting him the whole time and then attacked after he knew Hirudegarns power dropped

Babidi and Buu would have eventually happend. It may have taken longer but it was a still a Canon event.
Possibly one of my favorite DBZ movies, up there with Fusion Reborn for sure, can't wait to see you guys watch GT as well I'm so excited for that

@@TheCoolBacon Bojack, really? The movie where Goku literally instant transmissons from the after life without Baba to plot-convenience Gohan's victory. That Bojack unbound? The move where the dub has the horrendous "I am my father's son!" line? That Bojack unbound.
Cooler, yeah, I can agree with that, deftones and metal really shake it up, and the way the ending mirrored the opening as Cooler understands his mistake, juxtaposing Frieza's refusal to accept errors, is fantastic.
@nivnavion hahaha that line was so cringe ill give you that but call me crazy but i like the fact goku instant transmissions in it answers the question that dead people that know instant transmission can infact go to the living realm albeit there should be some consequence for this which the movie fails to show also makes me wonder why cell doesnt try instant transmission out... maybe hell has more magic preventing it from being used

Dragon fist is somewhat of a cheat code because there are ki blocking then there's physical blocking like punches and kicks which there are two types of ki control. The dragon fist attack your physical body and your ki simultaneously so you only able to block one form of the attack.

Definitely an amazing movie and technically it’s called the move Goku used is called Dragon Fist heh but yeah Hirudegarn was sealed in Tapion & his brother and he can be free is they fall asleep that’s why Tapion can’t sleep otherwise Hirudegarn would be free, Tapion is pretty cool though

That's a sad fact because in the movie, if you slow it down and listen closely, Goku actually yells "Dragon Fire".
But everyone loved Dragon Fist so it was named that, which made more sense for the move!
Movie title is a translation error. They translated the "Ryuuken" (Dragon Fist / Technique of the Dragon) in the original title as "Wrath of the Dragon".
Funnily enough Tapion's sword is the exact same as Future Trunks although it's not canon cuz idk how future trunks acquired his sword😂😊

SWAT Katz was such a great show. It, honestly, had no right being so cool when it's about two cats in a fighter jet but it's just so cool.

This was a great movie, i really like the storytelling of this and i like the relationship of tapion and trunks. It similar to goten and gohan, having an older brother type of bond. So now kid trunks can relate. I personally believe this movie is canon because it takes place after the defeat of kid buu and it explains where future trunks got his sword from despite being in a different timeline so tapion has to at some point was introduce to future trunks after the death of future gohan and then the android killed tapion as well majority of everyone else. I honestly love this movie so much i own on blu-ray. I can't believe that's the end of the classic dbz movies, older movies hit different than newer movies in general. Thats all im going say, nothing more. But good reaction guys.

This the second time I ever saw this movie and it felt like the first time I ever saw it.
It's called Dragon Fist.
Even though it's pretty cool to see Trunks receive the sword, the timeline doesn't make sense. Future Trunks already had the sword when the Androids were attacking, before the Cell saga even began. This is after the Buu Saga, and we see him receive the sword.

Most DBZ movies have no real story, just rehashes the main storylines and has cool visuals (Cooler movie for example is basically Frieza rehashed), but this movie has an actual unique story.

nice reaction guys, ggggreat movie but just imagine in the end trunks and gotenks fuse into a serius Gotenks and than use the sword to defeat the dragon, it'd be awesome, still a ssj3 would win and Goku wound't steal the win from trunks who was the protagonist the enitre movie.
One thing I’m confused about, the theme song for this movie where tapion plays the flute, it isn’t his original? Is it because it’s in DUB and it’s only in SUB with the actual tapion theme or is it because of something else? I’m genuinely confused because that’s one thing I really wanted these lot to react to, tapions theme, literally the most underrated or one of the most underrated themes I’ve heard in the entirety of dragon ball. ( don’t get me wrong, the one they play in this is amazing, lifts up how you feel, but the original is just amazing).

its the same as with movie 5, it almost seems canon because it could easily take place during the 3 years time skip waiting for the androids, and gokus power as a ssj against an even stronger version of frieza (form 5, cooler) would make sense, but its in consistent, Because we know Trunks killed frieza on earth not goku on namek, and vegeta is still seemingly dead. Also Icarus is back from movie 3 not the main timeline, even though movie 5 is post namek, it seems to be pre trunks and mecha frieza, but goku isnt on yardrat nor can he control ssj at will yet and still relies on kaioken to fight fifth form cooler. the movies are just a hotmess

in dragon ball goku uses an "different" fist technique, name withheld fro spoilers if you guys watch dragon ball.
The anime screws this up actually. If you go by the books for the Boo saga Dende upgraded the dragon to grant 3 wishes. The first in this case would have been to revive those Vegeta killed and the second would have been to erase all memory of Boo. This would then be the third wish. Which would also imply it has been less than a year since they won against Boo.
Yeah, the number of wishes the Dragon can grant are one of the most inconsistent things as the series goes on, lol. Even to this day. Hard for them to keep track of I guess.

Actually, this movie isn't a continuation of the series. It takes place in an alternate (or what-if) universe/timeline along with most of the movies. And Dragon Ball GT is a continuation of that same alternate timeline.
No, GT is a direct continuation of the Z anime. And it was for a long time until Super came and complicated things. But yeah, the movies are in their own kind of universe that parallels the anime.

No it isn't, for the simple fact that movie characters make an appearance in the series itself. Proving it's in the same timeline as the DBZ movies.
@NorrisFoxx GT was initially pitched to take place in the 10 year time skip (like Super would eventually do), but it was changed to take place directly after the end of Z. GT aired one week after the last episode of Z aired. So they had already been planning it for a bit. That's why it starts where Z left off. With Oob and Goku finishing their training. The real reason why Cooler makes a cameo in it and why Goku uses the Dragon Fist multiple times is because the Z movies and GT are products of Toei and not the original creation of Toriyama, Although he was involved in them.

Lmao ”not canon, we know”😂 the problem is not actually so much that it’s not canon; in the Bojack movie Trunks had come back for a final time *after* he killed the androids and Cell from his timeline, to let everyone know he succeeded, and even though it’s technically not canon, people consider that an actual event in the series because Trunks was referenced to do such a final trip during the Cell arc (Cell stole Trunks’ time machine right before ”Trunks travelled back in time to tell his friends he succeeded”).
The problem with this sword being the one Future Trunks had is that this movie’s events could not have happened in Future Trunks’ timeline as everyone including the androids would have just died lol, this beast was beating up ssj3 fusion and U. Gohan. And I believe Trunks gpt the swprd from Gohan originally.

Yeah, I wouldn't watch Dragon Ball GT. Not only does it suck (far below the quality of DB/DBZ) but it's not a direct continuation of the anime series, since its inclusion of non-canon movie characters. None of the movies - except the History of Trunks special, Battle of Gods, Resurrection F, DBS: Broly, and DBS: Super Hero - take place in the timeline of the main series, as explained by Akira Toriyama. The 'Hey! Son Goku and His Friends Return' special and the 'Battle of Gods' movie is the canon continuation of the series.
So, the best order in which to watch the series is Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z (or rather DBZ Kai since some changes were made to fit the manga that is continued in recent content if you want to be perfect), Hey! Son Goku and His Friends Return special, Battle of Gods, Resurrection F, Dragon Ball Super (starting at episode 28 or 27 - the first two arcs just retells the story of Battle of Gods and Resurrection F), DBS: Broly, and then DBS: Super Hero.
