She's a convicted murderer. The public needs to know and see the process

    • @dmichael100

The trial is public. The right of the public to know has been fulfilled in trials before there was ever televised. The media and public are allowed to sit and be present for the entire trial.
Televised is not the same thing as "public"
When you televise the proceedings, it changes the dynamic as attorneys and others become conscious of the cameras and perform for the public.

@@gailhawthorne8856 That is always the go-to response which is emotional but doesn't really contribute to the discussion.
You being able to view a trial on tv in no way helps the victims or deceased in a case.
It is a given that someone's rights have been violated if they have been murdered. It is also a given that whatever punishment is ascribed will not match the violation perpetrated against the victim.
All is not made right. Everyone is not made to feel completely better by punishing the accused.
This is the real world. And in our system. a trial is "public" if there is seating made available to the "public".
There is no (and never has been) any constitutional right to televising a trial and that has nothing to do with the "rights" of a deceased victim.

Frankly, this convicted murderer should be shown, the public have the right to see the court and justice being served. Her defence lawyer has obviously fallen prey to her manipulation, he seems very familiar with his client “Lori”. I can’t help thinking she doesn’t want cameras because of her vanity, she has aged in jail and can’t get her Botox, also why should she be allowed to wear what she wants in court? Orange is her new wardrobe, she needs to get used to it.

Iris - You can’t be a lawyer! You don’t understand the justice system is ensuring fair trial for both sides and presumed innocent until found guilty by a jury of peers! Many defense lawyers do their job to ensure fairness to the accused regardless of their feelings or knowledge of innocence or guilty to carry out the justice! Many work for justice against the guilty they know about to make sure they are held accountable while the lawyer still does their job! Some have admitted this on court TV in interviews! It’s not that they believe their client is innocent! It’s carrying out fairness in the system so someone is not railroaded falsely by a dishonest judge or prosecutor! If you are a lawyer you fully understand this! Duh 🙄
You aren’t credible here to educated people who watch these trials and learn a LOT! Certainly we see lots of liars on defense with cockamamie excuses for murderers, but understand it’s part of evening the fairness factor! And the prosecution has to prove their case beyond those defense lies!
