Estre is so damn brillant, what a drive for his first race
Grove cars looked strong this weekend, Reynolds & Tander were a proper chance until the wheels fell off, literally. Estre drove amazing considering it's his first time in the car. No surprise though, he's a gun. They'll be fast at Bathurst I reckon.
Estre is one of those once in a generation drivers who can drive fast in anything he likes. he’s incredible.

Why do Supercars have to cut it so fine? Only 2 safety cars and it goes time certain, just start the race earlier ffs. Seems to happen all the time in the series these days.
There was a big crash in Super2, some of the barriers got damaged and had to be repaired so there was a delayed start. If they'd been able to start at the scheduled time it would have been no worries.
3 days of build up then it gets cut short. Supercars officials are some of the dumbest people on the planet.

There was barrier damage from a crash in the prior category. It took time to fix it. Nothing AT ALL to do with Supercars officialdom.

I was at the track, sitting on the backstretch (you might even see me in this video idk) and I don’t think I’ve had this much fun watching a race in years. It might not have been the most eventful race ever, but I still found it to be an unforgettable experience. So glad that I went here.

I was at Dandenong Rd (Turn 9) it was certainly an interesting race to watch. I thoroughly enjoyed attending my first ever Supercars event

Thanks for the decent highlights this time. Much appreciated. Also why do Supercars insist on using fake or digital signage around the track during a broadcast, It's so obvious and looks crap. Example 4m42s There's fake poles on the track, really Supercars, please don't ruin Bathurst with these NRL style fake sponsor signs.
Would you prefer to watch the race with zero ad breaks, or have an ad break every 7mins that last for 3mins each....especially in the last 30 laps.

They cant because of contracts with FOM (Formula One Management). SC arent allowed to post videos anywhere. Not on Twitter, not on CZcams, not even people who pay for Superview can watch them

Supercars pays big money to be on the support ticket for the Australia, they dont want to waste it.

Where did SVG come from??? He wasn't even in the top 25 when they started. Highlights don't show what happened or how he suddenly popped up in 10th, got to 4th then grifted 3rd on a mistake. Drive of the round.
Awe I see two Drivers SVG/Stanaway combination no wonder didn't see SVG name at the start still from 19th at the start a good drive by both drivers. Great to see Master class Jamie Whincup & young talent Feeney on top of the podium, good win, and SVG cementing 2nd spot in the Championship -135 points off Brodie Kostecki on 2171 points, with Broc Feeney 3rd -204 points, what a talented young driver 1st season.

I see the Ford fans are still whingeing after receiving numerous helping hands. And now again they're asking for an extra advantage at Bathurst. Deal with it mate - the Ford drivers are to blame, they're not up with the GM boys. To add to the argument, it was a Ford that drove through the dirt and ripped it's rear end apart, it was a Ford that had the wheel fall off, and it was a Ford that had the wing fall off. But you whinge about parity.

Well if you didn’t know already, they left. Falcons left because ford cut off Ford Australia and the Commodores left because GM (General Motors) shut down Holden.

Nah this race was an absolute snoozer save for the last 20 laps because of the safety car. Driving around at 30% hoping the tyres can do only 32 laps is not fun for anyone. The super soft tyres were a necessity for the previous generation of cars because of the issues following. Now we’ve chopped the aero off we need a hard consistent tyre that the drivers are able to abuse for laps on end. Thats what made the V8SC So good in its hay-day. Fix this product please Supercars because your killing every bit of good momentum you’ve had with the new cars.

Clearly the mustangs have something wrong in the rules the camaros are dominant in qualifying an race can't all be driver.

It was a Mustang who gave the BP Ultimate Tickford a broken steering rack, a WAU who spun out the Tradie Mustang at the end, and from what I could tell it wa Tander's Penrite Mustang that spun the Snowy- Tickford, with the Penrite wheel knocking off the Monster Energy Tickford's rear wing.
All Four Tickfords had some kind of collision, and All Four were done by other Mustangs (we dont talk about Jack Smith tho, that was his fault)

This series has become a boring exercise with the commentary, which is not good, and the lack of competition throughout the series has made this category very boring and lame. The old saying of he who has the most money wins is relevant and this category needs to change to be relevant in the future.
isnt it the same for all the motorsports? i mean f1 the teams with more money wins, WEC and Rally Teams with more money always win, even in Moto Gp teams with more money always win, and not only motorsports it applies to other sports aswell, is been like that since ever

Agreed they used to look cool despite being an overlay, guess they're trying too hard to advertise whatever they are doing.
The fake overlays allow the event to be telecast ad break free.

You can’t argue that it’s good racing, and there’s great drivers here, but geez it’s hard to get on board with these cars. They’re just so obviously not real road cars, which leaves me asking “What’s the purpose of all this?!?” “Where’s the history/legitimacy/spirit of this?!?”. From the sort of motoring icons, be it drivers/cars/manufacturers alike that this series is based on, to this?? I give this five years max before they ditch these cars. Bathurst will always be a big event, but popularity in Supercars has been waning for some years now, and these kit cars are not helping. They’ve got to go back to having real cars, so that fans can adopt a genuinely loyalty towards a competing manufacturer, from which you’ll then be able to boost the profile of their respective drivers. Someone high up needs to make a big shift, and quickly!!
