Hello friends!!! Today I bring you a new video where I mount this beautiful frame with a campagnolo record 10 v group. I had to carry out this construction because I had to sell my giant tcr disc of 2019, since this year 2021, I am going to be the father of a beautiful girl and first things first. That is why I decided to ride this bike which is the same as I ride with the campagnolo victory group. In this case I wanted something more to use, to make my normal routes and this has been the result, for me it has been spectacular, I hope you also like it. Hola amigos!!! Hoy os traigo un nuevo video donde monto este precioso marco con un grupo campagnolo record 10 v. He tenido que realizar esta construcción por que tuve que vender mi giant tcr disc del 2019, ya que este año 2021, voy a ser padre de una preciosa niña y lo primero es lo primero. Por eso decidí montar esta bicicleta la cual es la misma que monte con el grupo campagnolo victory. Es este caso quería algo mas al uso, para realizar mis rutas normales y este a sido el resultado, para mi a quedado espectacular, espero que a vosotros también os guste. Un saludo y espero que estéis disfrutando dentro de lo que se puede.

1989/91 Smooth convex crankset and Corsa v brakes my fave after 1974 hooded brake calipers with Nouvo record mechs my fave but yes 2005/2oo7 record 10 speed is pukka too.

That era of Campy wheels is just amazing….
I love my old Rolf Vector Pros….I NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT THEM 😉🤗….but on par with them, for me are the Zonda and Eurus wheels….i obviously love the more spaced out spoke lacing and medium height rim profile…but it’s the visual aesthetics, relative light weight, ease of clincher tires, value for price and STRENGTH that have made me a DEVOTEE FOR LIFE
AND Rolf was a new and special brand out of the gate, and Campagnolo’s reputation precedes it

As someone who has seven similar vintage high end builds that I have done over the years, I commend your efforts.
First off the video production is truly top class.
Second, I really recommend chasing and facing the bottom bracket. In all my builds they were somewhat off before facing.
This used to be normal procedure for all bike shops to do and it does make a difference.
Third, using a threaded rod with nuts and washers through the bottom bracket spindle will help hold the tool in place while tightening and prevent it slipping off.
Fourth, I find that the 11spd chains work even better than the 10 speed ones (yes on a 10 spd setup) as they require less trimming and are quieter.
Fifth, FSA crank arm quick detach bolts work well and let you take the crank arms off very easily.

Surprised you could find what looks like a pristine, unbuilt Colnago frame. So much history behind that brand with multiple world championships. Steel is still real. I still enjoy riding my old race frames from the era - a steel Cramerotti and a classic Alan aluminum bike, my all time favorite frame, with friction downtube shifters. New bikes are great for lightness but there is still something about the simplicity of the older bikes. I think you can still find the Benotto cello tape for the handle bars if you love the look like I do.

Campagnolo record 10s is my favorite set! I have a few bikes with it, I currently drive it on Zwift . Colnago super -there's nothing to add - a cool frame. But the most important thing will be your daughter! Congratulations!

Ive ridden aluminum all of my 30 plus years…out of practical and financial concerns…I could have bought a Colnago, but I didnt necessarily have the wiggle room to buy and build a bike that would be (not on purpose) a rarely ridden heirloom….
I do have that luxury now…and I’m not afraid of putting miles on a frame that is also a beautiful object, more so than all other bikes….
This build you are showcasing is where progress should end as far as the classic road bike…
Rim brakes, standard (inboard) bottom bracket, horizontal top tube/classic geometry, and non aero wheels….manual shifting (no batteries/motors)
I’ll add as necessary 🧐
10 rear gears is sufficient…eh🙄

Yo llevo esos mismos mandos Ergopower, en el modelo Daytona, con casi 20 añitos, y cambia de maravilla, tres coronas para arriba y las 10 para abajo si quieres!! 😅😆

This is my favourite kind of jobs: some new bits on an old frame, new levers and shift system with registers in the place of old shift levers, some carbon details... another amazing job!
You know, something which could help on the aesthetic side would be aligning the brand of the tyre to the valve, think about it 😉

I like the newer components on a older frame, I would love carbon wheels for my colnago super, but may not fit.

Almost exactly the same Record 10 speed groupset as I've got on my '98 Tecnos, except I've got the Ultratorque crankset with the external bearing cups. And I've got Ambrosio Excellight rims on the hubs, not Campy.
I think this is the most up-to-date gruppo that could work on an old steel frame like this. I'm not a huge fan of the newer 11 and 12 speed looks.

There are only three small things: Large chainring at the front, position of the valves (valves down), crank arm horizontal (right arm points forwards).
