    Heya Poorboyz,
I'm with you! Use what you got & get the job done. Thanks for the video, I've got to tackle this job next week, what else does a guy do with his vacation time but a brake job & this mod? . Just got a heim joint mod ordered from ebay.
With the pin being so stubborn, may I suggest drilling it out with bigger & bigger bits until you get close to the bracket hole size? The drilled hole will allow the remaining metal to deform inwards when you punch the pin out.
    Thanks Again & Best Regards,
    Jon

Use what you got. I've had to fix a lot of things "the wrong way" due to not having all the tools needed.

Heat almost always helps loosen stuck steel fittings, and penetrating fluid. The fluid will smoke but that's life in the big city. A chunk of steel and some clamps (or more vice grips) are your friend.-just sayin'...

I was using what limited tools I had at the time. If I did it now I'd grind it then put it in a vice and air hammer it out.

When you were trying to hammer out the pin after grinding off the weld, instead of hammering it against the sidewalk, you should lay it across a vise or some other surface with an opening just wide enough to support the bracket but let the pin fall through the opening of the vise or other surface with a hole in it. The way you did it, the pin had no freedom to be driven out.

At the very least I would have used a Ball Hole in the bumper instead of beating my paint to death and wrecking my bed. I've used my bumper as an anvil on many occasions works pretty good

No vise. Use a socket to set the pin into. Go to Menards and get a real hammer. I'm sure if u have kids their missing the tack hammer you got.
