It’s crazy how much nicer Sword and Shield look compared to Scarlet and Violet when you see one right after the other. So much more detail and richer colours. And everyone said that game looked bad when it came out yet they somehow made the next one look worse
I definitely noticed that Circhester felt really detailed and particularly gorgeous when I got footage for this video. I understood why people didn't like the graphics of SWSH, but it never really bothered me. Sometimes the graphics of SV do though...
pokemon is the highest grossing media franchise of all time. they can afford to make their games look just as good as Zelda, if not better. but they choose not to because they know pokemon fans will buy it anyway.
No seriously, it's almost comical how much things went downhill with how much shit gen 8 got for graphics
I don’t know, maybe I’ve just got early-onset Old Fashioned mentality, but it really feels like the art style of Pokemon’s just gone downhill ever since Gen VI. Gen V was a boundary push that I felt worked more than it didn’t, but the move towards 3D has never sit right with me.
Neither of them look great, but I personally prefer the look of S/V over SW/SH. The older duo just has a much blander, generic art style IMO. S/V improved the art style, but the graphical programming went into the toilet on this one.

As someone who is visiting the IRL Alola Region for Christmas, I would love to visit Snowpoint City for Christmas one year

Snowbelle City in Kalos snub? I loved this city while playing X and Y definitely one of the more memorable cities in Pokemon!
What a cute idea for a Christmas video!
Nice concept for a video before christmas.
For me, Snowpoint City is my highlight. Be it the music, the city, or the temple, Snowpoint City gives such a calming feeling. The diamond snow was also a nice easter egg. The gym leader is also my favorite ice gym leader from all the games. Sinnoh itself has some of the calmest and most mysterious places.
Also a nice detail that the city is shaped like a snowflake.
This is just a side note and is not intended to diminish the name Snowpoint.
In german, Snowpoint City is called "Blizzach", which I have always found to be a perfect name for a snowy city. The name is a combination of blizzard (who would have thought) and the word Dach(Roof).
A white roof created by a blizzard, which visually causes snow to fall over the city.
I'm already looking forward to the Gen 3 and Gen 4 region analyses. This channel was definitely the biggest gem I found on CZcams this year. Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Year!
A lot of people really like Snowpoint! Seems like a lot of folks would prefer to get away to a nice secluded cabin in nature for the holidays. Snowpoint is very pretty, after all. And thanks for sharing the fun fact about it's German name! I love learning new things like that. @@saffroncitytv Yes, I really like it quieter. But I can also see why people prefer places with a Christmas City/Town theme. Of course it looks more colorful. What I see at Snowpoint are, for example, the nights when it's still snowing and you look out the window. Snowpoint also seems like a place where you can explore many places during the day or can walk through the routes. There are also good sightseeing options with the lake and the temple. It's just nature that makes it so beautiful. Sinnoh is also very mountainous and has many forests. Maybe you can even experience the diamond snow. The secret best thing in Snowpoint is of course Mindy with her Haunter Ever Stone trade. This woman hasn't suffered enough.
No problem, if there ever is another interesting German fun fact, I will mention it.

At first I was thinking Montenevera would be the number 1 pick. I'm just imagining camping in the log cabin looking homes in the snow with the comforting candles everywhere, I do agree it has a spooky feel too no surprise considering the gym leader. But after your points of Circhester, yeah I can see why that's #1. You should do more of these for the other holidays, like Top 3 romantic destinations for Valentines Day, Top 3 Spooky Places for Halloween, stuff like that. It's a fun concept.
I would absolutely love to do that! Lol I think Montenevera would also make that list, but that's ok! 😊 Valentine's Day is gonna be very interesting! Thank you for the suggestion, it sounds like a lot of fun to do!
@@saffroncitytv Yeah I have a couple ideas already for Valentine’s Day, I remember in Gen 2 and 4 Misty had that date by Bill’s Lighthouse, apparently that’s a great romance spot or that castle in Camphrier Town in Kalos. Those are just a couple off the top of my head but I think that would be fun to explore some more locations like that. Hope these help spark some ideas.

Love the video as always. I’ve never heard Icirrus city pronounced that way. I’d always assumed it was pronounced the same as “Icarus”; but I looked it up and the anime does pronounce it Icy-russ too. You learn something new everyday!

Well thank you! 😊 That's very kind. Idk, honestly, sometimes my voice sounds better or worse depending on the day, and my vocal quality isn't particularly consistent. It's something that I think would be very interesting, I'm just not sure I could pull it off for any extended period of time. I'm not super confident in my vocal quality, but I sounded particularly clear in this video, and am very happy with the results. Thank you for the very high praise, that's really nice of you to say. 😊
