Poor Maria Guleghina, she was obviously indisposed. I heard her live as Abigaille several years later, and then she definitely had all the high notes.

It surprise me that Guleghina in the last duet isn't singing the high notes... and stopping in the middle of them

Si...luego decimos de Domingo...pero la Gulegina ha cantado tres o cuatro frases una octava baja y muchos agudos ha pasado de ellos....efectivamente.

She sings in the mask, and mask singers when their vocal chords are not working it’s sad and pathetic. Unlike with bonisolli he sings from the larynx, and so did the greats like del monaco, ZinkaMilanov, Gigli, Pertile,Rosaveange, Caruso etc, Gulegina is a disaster, they should’ve casted Maria Chiara for this, she has excellent old school voice and has chemistry with bonisolli, look up there Boheme

Aprile Millo fez falta nesse cast. Em 1989 tivemos Chenier em Concerto no Municipal de São Paulo, com Corneliu Murgu, Aprile Millo e o grande Fernando Teixeira. Essa gravação está no youtube! Bonisolli e Millo fariam um Chenier de tremer o teatro!

Sad how never again will big opera houses ever have their chandeliers shake from voices like bonisolli or millo, these days we have voices that barely make it past 3rd row of seats, to a trained ear there is a big difference in natural voice production vs microphone

Può darsi che la Guleghina fosse indisposta, Domingo le faceva tutte così le prove in voce...Bonisolli e Bruson stratosferici. Soprattutto l'ultimo, libero da filologie fa un Gerard incredibile

No se si la Gulegina estaba indispuesta en el duo final....las notas agudas no ha dado ni una...o las ha bajado de octava o directamente a obviado casi todos los agudos.

She is a studio recording singer, not a virtuoso live performance like bonisolli, they should have used aprile millo for this
