- Taken a liking to this particular game for a while, so decided to upload a playthrough. I'm still getting used to the game, but this turned out well enough. Enjoy!
2019 Update: The game was set to difficulty 8 and no continues, but the video was just against the AI. - Hry
25 years later and this game still rocks. Also with Magneto's magnetism and metal manipulation abilities I'm surprised he didn't just toss Colossus around like a rag doll.

The final battle against Magneto was epic. Brings back all sorts of bad memories of whenever I faced him. Great stuff.

i have an issue where they were burying kitty pride and magneto shows up and manipulates colossus into attacking the X men during the funeral. so yes magneto can do that

Wow! I did not know Collosus' pressure game was that good with the grapples! You could actually body slam them and when they're on the ground, still pick them up and toss them to whatever direction. That was awesome :D
These hand drawn 2D graphics still look better than today's 3D HD graphics.

Magneto is one of the top 5 most difficult bosses ever created, I remember the pain in the ass to beat him back on the day. I could only do with Wolverine and Psylocke.

I've never had so many tries to defeat a fighting game boss. Not even Galactus, cause I defeated him after like more than 25 tries! Magneto took me like 50+ tries to try to defeat him. So many hours spent, and I never could defeat him. In the end he made me promise, or vow, to never play this game again. Only watch it.

Soooo true, the artstyle of all of the characters are so wonderful and game play was so intense. Dayum near brings me to tears knowing that I have a $400 game console that I can port this game to because of licensing laws.

He should have used the shoulder tackle more. You're invincible when you're using it, even against Magento's shock wave. My close in tactic against Magneto back in the day was to use the diagonal tackle then drop down with a fierce punch. I eventually got good enough that I could beat him in two rounds straight, with no time-outs.

Did someone notice that he is so powerful that his basic attacks cause some damage even if they are blocked? It makes almost impossible to get a perfect against him.

I remember watching a asian guy beat this in the arcade when I was a kid. I could get to Magneto but usually got ass kicking. Even today it's still a challenge beating him. Great game one of the best no doubt.
Now that Marvel/Disney has the "X-movie" rights back, I pray they remake this game for future generations to enjoy. 🙏
After X-men vs Street Fighter & up to the 2nd Marvel vs Capcom games, this genre really fell off w/ the introduction of the whole idea of the Marvel vs Capcom spin-offs.
IDK why the X-men needed to paired w/ any other franchises, when their fighting games were arguably the best out during their time. 🤷♂️

Magneto can still manipulate the iron inside ANYONE's blood (well, when he is at his best).

Colossus's damage is just ridiculous. And Magneto is really hard to beat, especially playing in arcades where they have the difficulty cranked. I used to play this at the arcade after school with my lunch money and whatever else I could scrape up selling candy, and I was only able to beat Magneto a handful of times, and it always cost me more than a quarter.

yeah colossus is a bit to bulky in these games should have went for a slimer look. I think Psylocke was the best or among the best translated for the most part.
WRONG...Colossus always looked best when drawn bulky like Art Adams, Jim Lee, and Rick Leonardi did...He's a 7ft 500lb class 100 strong man....He looks best bulky and not like a skinny fitness model

If you do his tackle against magneto super, colossus will tank the hits, be slowed down and not take any damage(with the right distance I think you can still hit tho), works with plenty of other attacks, cool as fuck

This brings back soo many fucking memories. I remember playing this at the same laundromat that used to have Sunset riders in the early to mid 90's. Then after this I played Darkstalkers and even remember playing the Saturn version.
