CRF250L Greasing axles and shock linkage

  • In preparation for a longer trip, I wanted to make sure my axles and shock links were all rolling smoothly. That means taking the wheels off, the swingarm, the shock arm and shock link and lubing everything up. Learn some interesting techniques and avoid some silly mistakes.

    Why not drill/tap a hole in the swing arm to install a zerk fitting & be able to grease it without disassembly?

      Because I didn't know that was an option. I looked it up, but that looks like it requires a skill level above mine, honestly :)
      Doing this every 2 years or so is not that bad. I also get to inspect all of those bolts and bearing needles visually, so that's a plus, I guess.
