- This was one of Bush Barbie's early videos where she pays tribute to her hero Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter on National Steve Irwin Day.
It was filmed close to home in Melbourne at the time, though Bushie has now moved to Queensland and is just up the road from where Teri, Bindi, Robert and the new guy still run Steve's world famous Australia Zoo!

Aussies are the only people who can say 'fucked' and not make it sound like swearing. And Nikki does it with a smile and much grace.
The Irish are not to bad as it either. But you are right Nikki does it beautifully.
After going to boot camp you hear it so much that after a week it loses its shock value and no one pays any attention to it anymore.

Always loved Steve, mad as a box of frogs, but what a bloke. The first time I saw him, he was crouched beside a muddy pool, whispering ' There's a crocodile in here.' And, he just jumped in & wrestled with a croc'. He 'had me' right there. Sadly missed now. Glad to hear you Aussies are still treasuring him.
Steve was a wonderful man and father. Very sad what happened.

@@ekspatriat I worked up at Beerwah on a construction project years ago. The local shopkeepers had nothing but good to say about him. He used to purchase most of the meat and food for the zoo locally.
He would hire people for temporary projects. When the project finished, he'd ask them what plans they had for work. If they did not know, he would try keeping them on for a few extra days.
That 3 months I spent in Beerwah changed my opinion about him.

Steve was a such a inspiration to so many of us who were scared of wildlife due to lack of knowledge. He definitely got us closer to understanding wildlife and nature better. God bless you steve

This is why we vacation in Queensland for two months every year. We were privileged in our early visits to see Steve in person running the noon show in the Crocoseum.

It was weird the way Steve met his end. A man who spent his life deliberately winding up Crocs and he’s killed by a relatively unthreatening animal.
He got too complacent.

I still remember the first time I ever saw Steve Irwin. Some late night wildlife show here in the states. Before he started his show and everyone knew who he was.
