Yay your trucker videos are my favorite. The only thing that would be better is if you mad a trucker video that was this long.
14 ( 4:50 ) was completely avoidable. sure you had the green but he was already in the middle of the road at that point, hard to miss bud.
I actually think the accident is his fault, if the truck is already out he has to clear the intersection giving him the right of way. This person drove into him because they were distracted

Many people forgot the vehicle INSIDE the intersection has the right of the way. IF the other vehicle entered the intersection BEFORE the lights turned red, they have the right of way to exit the intersection even the your light has turned green.

41 is Blue Ghost. He is probably in jail by now, his channel was taken down. He is a known scammer and car accident guy.
In this particular video, he only shows so much to make it look like the other guy was in the wrong. In reality, there is more to the video, including that he did a break check here causing the wreck. It was not at a stop sign.
He was sentenced to three years in state prison just last May. Funny thing is there actually is a stop sign there but he stopped short of it, probably by about 30-40 feet, so that he could claim he was "at a stop sign" when he really wasn't. That is why we don't see the forward facing camera.
Thank y'all. There's always segments that get me thinking and I immediately pause the video and look for the first comment that comes up about it. Only reason I looked with this one is because of his comment about being charged, smelt the bs, just didn't know how stinky it'd be.

When I drive I assume the person next to me has and leave space between my vehicle and theirs because 1 out of 50 they have and will need to get over. This follows the rule of never driving in people's blind spots, especially near exits. When you don't you're taking a risk the person won't see you and this is the result... Completely avoidable when you drive defensively.

Dash cams need to become a norm on new vehicles just like the reverse cameras are now.
Also, if someone hits n runs and you decline to press charges, you're as much a part of the problem as the other party cause all you're doing is encouraging irresponsible behavior! Especially when a car is considerably damaged and/or someone is injured.
Drivers who hit & run should lose their driver's license for life.
Maybe poor drivers like you need the car to drive itself. And you can take the mask off.

I live a few miles away from the St. Johns one(#4). The cop ended up fine, just shaken up and a bit bruised, and got a bit of time off. The car that hit them was cited for running a red light and fined for damaging county property but wasn't arrested or anything as far as I'm aware. Not sure what the cop was trying to get to but it was a legitimate emergency, not just a cop using their lights to skip through traffic.

I saw the story about this cammer before, guy's a scammer who fakes all his "accidents" and then brags about it online, absolute filth. He cut the truck off there, and there was no stop sign, as he just takes off.

11. If you miss your turn, you miss your turn. Don’t make stupid maneuvers and just take the next turn or turn around where it’s safe.
14. Dude you had a green light but if you also had eyes you’d have seen the other car. That was completely avoidable.
21. He should have finished clearing the intersection and pulled over into the gas station, not dead stopped in the middle. That’s not getting out of the way of an emergency vehicle it’s just bad decision making.

30. They clearly had their blinker on for a good ways. You decided to ignore it and try to accelerate past when you should have been slowing for the exit, then didn’t react at all to them merging. I’m with the insurance on 30%.
39. It baffles me people think they can just drive through snow at full speed. And that they think a hit and run is a good idea, at least more people have been getting dash cameras.
Totally agree on 30, it’s not their fault that cammer ignored their signal and took a half seconds hesitation to move over as a reason to try and rush past them. Clearly cammers never heard of defensive driving.
30. The other persons brake lights were out and they had the blinker on but then didn’t take the exit which would lead one to believe it was a mistake only for them to then cut in front of you again slowing down without the break lights causing an accident
If you witness an accident, but don't have time to stop, depending on where you are you can report it later on to the appropriate authorities, and provide footage if asked. In BC, You can make a report of an incident to ICBC and provide the location, time, and vehicle/incident descriptions, and if either party has opened a claim, they will add it to the file. Same with police.
A couple times while working as a delivery driver I witnessed a couple accidents, and while continuing on my commute, called and reported the incident. If you can, give them your info if they ask, because anonymous witnesses are not very reputable

Many of these incidents could have been avoided by merely slowing down, stopping at red lights, letting the offending vehicles proceed before entering the intersections, etc.

Thru traffic light turned red. His PROTECTED green light meant he was looking to the left to make sure no right on red car would hit him as he made the legal U-turn. The truck was in the opposite LEFT turn lane and went straight blowing a red light ( thru traffic on cammers side still had green), not the cammers fault at all.
Awareness is key. He had none
This whole accident was a complete technicality though. You can clearly see the driver made a sharp left turn DIRECTLY into the truck which is no where near the left intersection opening. He simply saw a opportunity with his dashcam to cause a accident even though he could have avoided it completely. That's a fact.
I think it's time to get a camera to record a potential incident; Every time We hit the roads its a calculated risk , Be Prepared

and, as we have to wait for the trailer to clear the intersection completely to see the light the other vehicle could have only ran a yellow, which is legal. You need an eye exam, I watched that clip at the slowest possible speed and there is no yellow light, even at normal speed it is clear it went from green straight to red. Even so, the dude had plenty of time to stop.

@@AntitheticMe Green-bottom, yellow-middle, red-top If that is a yellow light it's supposed to stay lit for more than a nanosecond. Even at the slowest playback speed I have to get right up to the screen and peer intently at it to see what may be a micro flash of yellow. For all intents and purposes the light goes form green to red. And he still has plenty of time to stop.

When both lights are green; person making a left turn is supposed to yield. So yeah, both drivers are not at fault. The guy making a left without yielding is at fault.

3:14 "Are you in a safe place?" Idiot cammer says "Yes", even after seeing what just happened to someone else who thought the left lane of the highway was a safe place to stop.
I always used to watch the signal like a hawk and would start the car immediately after the green signal. I thought I was being considerate to the cars behind me by not wasting time.
But after watching these crashes, I now take a pause even after it is green and make sure there are no cars that are speeding up trying to beat the signal. I have started defensive driving and look for pedestrians and other cars. Even when I am stopped at a signal, I watch out for cars behind me who may not be slowing down (either distracted or are not realizing I am at a stop). Most of the time if I am stopped, I switch on the blinkers until the car behind me has safely stopped.
Even after doing all this, I know there are some cases we just can't do anything. Like the accidents where the semi just ploughed through a line of cars waiting at a signal and eviscerated them. Or when the brick from the opposite truck went flying through the windshield. There is nothing they could have done... But perhaps if everyone saw these videos and learnt from them, the world would be a safer place while travelling.
So you use your emergency flashers when stopped in the course of normal driving just in case people don’t see your brakes? Seems a little excessive to me.I agree that careful and defensive driving should be more common than they are though.

In the early part of the century I was north of Columbus, OH, one evening and had just gotten empty and on my way to the nearest truckstop I knew. Just before I was to jump on the bypass I was hit in the right steer. Young blonde had jumped on the highway and instead falling behind me and getting into the left lane to pass she rode in the brakedown lane.🤦🏽♂️ Since my exit was just ahead it would have been ignorant for me to move over. She could have sped up also but chose to turn into me.🤦🏽♂️ Well, when the cop arrived he talked to her first and then came to me. After he introduced himself he said he wasn't sure if he was going to cite her for "failure to yield" or "reckless driving." I was thinking both.🤷🏼♂️ Since her car had to be towed I had to go take drug & alcohol tests. The reck wasn't my fault but I still had to go per company policy and Federal Regulations. I passed. The only damage to the truck was I had to buy a new oil-cap for the right steer in which I was reimbursed for when I sent in the receipt.
In #48 the car making the left turn is at fault because they "failed to yield right of way."
5:31 this happened to me with my 2012 suburban. Except it was at night
0:57-- turning car was completely at fault however a defense driver would have taken their foot off the gas pedal...not sped up into him.

These people are why insurance has gotten so expensive. My insurance has gone up an I’ve never been in an accident. I have a good driving record no violations. But because accidents are always happening they’re penalizing good drivers due to what accident prone drivers are causing. Just follow the rules of the road an these things will become less common! Everybody so in a rush to get somewhere that they’re causing accidents

4:52 is entirely on the guy with the green light. A bit of defensive driving might save you some serious money. The other car was clearly turning and in the intersection.
17 terrific moves on ice to avoid an accident. Why then did you accelerate and pass by the car on the shoulder to your left who might be expected to rejoin the travel road? Maybe keep it a bit slower when on black ice?

Re watched this a few times, that light does not look Red, especially when compared to the other red lights in the intersection. Could be wrong, but I believe its Yellow

I don't think the cammer realizes that even if the light was green as he went through, it's a SOLID GREEN which means left turn yield to oncoming traffic. I don't think he realizes that at all.

1:40 is exactly how i had my only accident... it didnt turn red.. it turned yellow.. the guy across tried to run it and driver didnt anticipate the rapid speed and made the turn..
The lack of defensive driving in some of these videos is quite horrific.
Wow that light did change from green to red in a second, no yellow at all. Maybe someone has one of those remote light changing things

Look closer---it was the center position, not the top light. Looked reddish in the vid, but it was yellow. He should've yielded though. BOOM!
