I think Jackee was a great addition to this show. It should have lasted longer. Redd Foxx was gone & truly missed. The show goes on when we are all gone because others are still living their lives. RIP to all the actors in this show that have passed on.

The Facts of Life, 227, The Golden Girls, Amen, Empty Nest (the show that replaced The Facts of Life) and of course, HUNTER with Fred Dryer and Stepfanie Kramer
Jackée and Stepfanie Kramer were The X-Factors of their respective shows as Sandra and McCall
227 and Smurfs got cut and Kramer left HUNTER in 1990 and in 1991, Amen got cut and HUNTER had 2 replacements in Darlanne Fluegel and later Lauren Lane (later of The Nanny) and got moved out of Saturday Nights and was cancelled as well
1991 also saw the end of The Chipmunks, Classic Concentration and Daytime Wheel of Fortune
also, in 1991, Brandon Tartikoff stepped down as NBC Entertainment President and Warren Littlefield took over and that's when The Cosby Show, A Different World, Empty Nest and The Golden Girls fell out of the Nielsen Ratings Top 10 yet stayed in the Top 25/Top 30

He did have The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but he wanted the show to improve in the ratings and wanted the show to make massive changes which worked out well thanks to NBC, Quincy Jones and Creators Andy & Susan Borowitz hiring Winifred Hervey an Emmy Winning Writer for The Golden Girls
In fact, Fresh Prince got higher ratings than Golden Girls
