Actually this was intentional back then.
The start signal was sent via radio, so over the past few races some teams picked up the signal, reverse engineered the seemingly random time the red lights stay on and play a beep to the driver a few milliseconds before the lights went out, essentially giving the drivers a perfect reaction time. The FIA picked up on this and in the 1999 EU GP they sent a radio signal that intentionally signaled an earlier lights out than what was actually going to happen. This way they caught all teams are were catching the radio signal.

How did he deserve the title when he was miles behind Hakkinen. Hakkinen got 11 poles and Frezen got 1. Fastest laps 6-0. Wins 5-2. The best driver and team always deserve the title. Frezen was in the fastest car on the grid in 1997 and finished 3rd. So he had his chance.

Hakkinen did not deserve the title that year. He threw away so many races. Frentzen drove out of his skin in that Jordan which was undoubtedly the 3rd fastest car on the grid. Schumacher probably would’ve walked the title if it wasn’t for his broken leg. Frentzen deserves the 99 title imo

Jackie Stewart won three times in her own driving career at the Nurburgring. The seasons were 1968, 1971 and 1973. It was therefore quite appropriate that Stewart GP’s only GP victory came right on the Nurburgring track, a track where Jackie Stewart is now a four-time winner (three times as a driver; once as a team manager on his own team). In addition, another team, owned by the world champion, which also debuted in the 1997 season like the Stewart GP, namely the Prost GP, also did well at the Nurburgring. Jarno Trulli drove second to Alain Prost's team car.🏁🏆🏆🏆
