Generative Art / Music. Pure Data & TouchDesigner.

I used Puredata and Renoise on Linux to create the MIDI and sound. Sent MIDI via USB to a mac mini to TouchDesigner to manipulate visuals. MIDI from pure data was mapped to TouchDesigner parameters in sync using puredata line ( envelopes) and bangs from a random sequence.

was the midi sent externally to TouchDesigner? Or is there a way to connect the two programmes? Also, was this live?
