On challenging days, I find it healing to meditate and imagine holding myself as a baby and telling my inner child how loved and enough I am. I strangely feel more grounded and peaceful afterwards.

I did this meditation after being ‘triggered by my spouse’ , which I now realise is my ego being activated and reacting to the other, I realise I have choice and responsibility to self, I have no control of the other. This meditation helped me focus on the present moment and look the ‘issue’ for what it is. I am at ease now, he is getting a hug, as my ego self had my walls up and didn’t want a sight of him. This is great work, thank you Dr.Nicole.

@@stacielivinthedream8510 nah. forgiving is just how we tell ourselves it's not our responsibility to get justice. overall, it is. time to make it VERY horrifically costly for abusers to abuse. doing so is what saves others from becoming victims in the future.
harmlessness is not a virtue. it is weakness. ofc, we are told the opposite. and those who let their cowardice rule them are happy to believe the lie.
@@legalfictionnaturalfact3969 I don't disagree with anything you said. I think you misunderstood me. I don't think you should forgive someone who continues to abuse another, not at all! All I said is forgiving someone who had hurt you (in the past) helps your heart heal which is for yourself. Otherwise it only hurts you to carry the pain which turns into suffering.
@@stacielivinthedream8510 the suffering is from the abuse, not from holding someone responsible and refusing to forgive. regardless of whether the abuse has stopped or not.
usually, "forgiving" is a way to get out of getting justice or exposing the perp. that's why it feels like "peace". it just takes away the moral obligation to demand rectification.

This is so relaxing.... when u said soften your gaze and focus on sth I was holding a cup of kehva in a glass cup in my hand and became focused on it. I saw so much beautiful colors and reflections in it which I had never seen before. This alone held the vision of my future self.
I feel so much better after this. Nearly choked during - found this through intuitively nagivating videos on yt and picked with my gut: then you say "peace" and "clarity" which are the words I chose for this year ♥️
How do you create your future self? How do you choose how you want to respond? When I get triggered I don’t react because I’m the pause between trigger and action, I ask myself how I want to respond? Maybe not responding is a response :) I guess I’m still creating my future self

You really should start the body scan from the head to the legs. This is trauma-informed. Becauuse people with trauma sometimes feel as if they're suffocating when the body scan is done from the legs/feet and upward. --I am a therapist
this was ok. I usually like her stuff but when I was "walking around my house" it doesn't feel like a connection to my future self just a connection to me right now which I supposed is good but to be honest this was just confusing. 4/10 usually I like her stuff though
I think it depends where you're at in your journey. I felt the same way at first. A bit disoriented. But then experienced current self with older self
