Just some feedback: Would be cool if you could have the endings screen shown up for 3 to 5 seconds. As of now the clock and counts stop and immediately the outcard takes over.

@@YTSuxAxx oh please. The slide transition is less than a second long. It takes longer for the brain to register that the transition is happening. By the time you hit the pause button the transition is already over forcing you to backtrack ten seconds. It took me three tries to pause it before the transition started.

Only two things I want from your videos and they are perfect:
1. I want to be more specific the numbers on top. What are refereeing to? For example, now we had weekly or monthly active users? (I know the answer from the description. Just to be more clear in the video it self)
2. At the end, a few seconds basically paused to be able to see the final picture

I remember Google+. Nobody wanted it, everybody was given one anyway, and they had artificially inflated numbers because people were using other Google products that were posting things for them. One of Google's greatest failures, and it took them a while to realize they needed to just cut it off.
I remember being in contact with Google’s “devs advocate” in my country at that period. He said nobody in the company have any idea why Google was promoting this nonsense so hard.

I can't believe somebody remembers Wave. It was mostly a technical toolbox wrapped in social dress. It later became Google Buzz that in some sense is predecessor of G+

It might be like that amount your peers, not over all demographics and regions of the world, the picture is very different. For example,Facebook is still a giant in South East Asia, it's almost synonymous with the internet.

Was expecting orkut to be a lot bigger in the late 2000s and early 2010s. A lot of people used back then before it shut down and everyone switched to fb.
Those were the good old days, my first social media account was on Friendster before Facebook grew to become very powerful.
How was it compared to fb?
@@DataIsBeautifulOfficial, it was fun on Friendster, but Facebook grew in popularity and I migrated there along with my other ex-schoolmates. I never use MySpace sadly
i miss the days where the only social medias people were on were friendster and myspace. myspace was far superior, but friendster wasn't too bad. I really feel like the only reason facebook took off was because rupert murdoch bought it out. Myspace was amazing, i just feel like in the end they couldn't keep up with the success they had server wise. so when one thing doesn't work as well you end up spending more time on the other thing (facebook).
@@CreativeMindsAudio I think the option to have personal themes is what led to their downfall. Everybody would have custom themes on their landing page, and it made loading them awfully slow. Also, they look tacky and gaudy and there was no cohesion across the site.
@@danlightened I think the custom personalization of myspace is what made it so amazing though! granted, people went overboard and i think if myspace did things that limited the types of customization that would have been great. LIke no cursor changes, no GIF/flash backgrounds that would have been fine. I wish facebook had more of this tbh. even if they did something as simple as profile color themes or something. MySpace was trying to be social media meets geocities imo and they nailed it. Now instead of a free webpage, we gotta pay 170/year for squarespace or something. people are using social media as a personal landing page and for smaller businesses it's all they can afford and that's kinda sad that it is so limited with customization and branding.
What did you use as a criteria for what was a social media website? I never thought CZcams was one! Case in point though, I'm using it right now lol.

Shout out to Hi5 for existing the last 18 years without going under, especially since I've never heard of it.
I was on hi5, sort-of-by-accident: someone I knew joined it and inadvertently sent invitations to his entire list of Contacts. (Remember, we weren't so savvy back in the early '00s.) I joined it, but I never figured out what to do with it.

What's interesting is how TikTok has only peaked at #4. People hype it up so much, but CZcams is still way more relevant.
Let it catch Instagram first.
A big part of reason why tiktok's growth got halted so suddenly is that it got banned in India and a gigantic tiktok influencer market shifted to Instagram reels almost overnight. I had thought insta reels would never be a big thing as it was basically a knockoff of tik-tok but India's Tik Tok ban has been an absolute blessing for Insta reels. It is more relevant than ever and would remain so with India's massive and growing audience that it holds a monopoly over in 'short video' social media market.
They're literally half way there and has only existed for half of CZcams's existence. I think its fair to assume tiktok is actually more popular when you compare the lifespan of the two.
@@DrHannibal1105 While I'm in no favour of Tik tok, I think something really shady happened behind the scenes with the Indian, Chinese government and Zuck. And a huge deal was struck.
Only young people use Tiktok, they don't care that they are using malware.

MySpace is the perfect example of those who do not know the saying "renew or die" and think that it was at the top when Facebook was little known.
IIRC, F******k didn't open to the general public until 2007 -- before that, strictly college students.

I suspect it is, but a lot of people watch CZcams videos without an account. You used to be able to see FB content without an account. Then they added a popup which covered a third of your screen if you were accountless. Then it covered 2/3 of the screen. Now they just don't let you see most things without an account.

It’s all the boomers that don’t want to learn another social media platform. Can’t blame them really.
The data is based on monthly users. So, even if someone checks it once a month, it still counts. And many of us often do just that. Because there are 1000s of acquaintances there. And someone's getting married or the other. FB even sends false notifications, like clickbait.
I'm sure there's nowhere near as much user engagement as compared to insta, CZcams etc.
Tiktok for young people, Ins for young and middle age, Facebook covers almost everyone.
What even is qzone? Never heard of it.
