Managers of big retail stores like Target and Wal-Mart clear six figures easily. That’s more than most wrestlers make. So he wasn’t the “checkout boy” at K-Mart. Flair did this interview for two reasons...
      1) Money. He never saved any (Or very little) of his earnings, never paid his taxes and treated his wives like dirt so he ended up having to pay for expensive divorce settlements.
      2) He was so desperate to get back "in" with the WWE so he used this interview to "bury" TNA/Impact and "put over" WWE/Vince/Triple H in the hope they would watch it or at least hear about it.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with a man trying to make an honest living. Wrestling, while entertaining, is little more than people on top who kiss the most ass. Flair is a notable example of this; the guy hasn't been relevant since 1990. Douglas, while not being the biggest star, had a loyal base of fans and realized his time was finished to take bumps and move onto the next chapter of his life. Flair can't walk away. To me, that's more shameful than working a retail job, be it a manager or checkout boy.

It says a lot about Flair that his attacks on Douglas are personal while Shane's are ALL wrestling related. The older Flair gets, the more the 'real' Ric comes out. Damn shame.
A lot of people work at Target and K-Mart, Ric. They're feeding their families. Why the need to piss all over them?

Years and years ago I worked at a dollar store when I was a teenager, and my manager who was super cool and a really awesome person, said that she once met Ric Flair when she was working in Charlotte (Flair's stomping grounds, of course). She said that he came into the store that she working and said that he was the biggest asshole that you could ever imagine! I've always felt like Shane Douglas was right and he is: Ric Flair is an asshole and many people can vouch for that. I once met Raven at a local show in my hometown and he was a cold-hearted asshole, as well. Shane Douglas in his prime was an amazing wrestler and an even more decent person. Humble guy. Ric Flair is the opposite of that, seemingly, and so many people can back that up. Flair needs to humble himself!
