Ric throws out this specific quote around 3:20 that Ross apparently said "You have to know when to walk away from Ric Flair" . What's wrong with that ? I think everyone needs to know when to walk away from anyone else in situations , especially when Alcohol is involved. I think it's tragic Ric can't see past that statement with Ross and understand what Ross was saying on the greater scheme of the situations . Ross practically defended him otherwise that whole DSOTR episode.

I pride myself on being a good friend, being the type of friend I want to have, but it's impossible to be a friend to someone when their sole purpose is self destruction. I have friends who have got so caught up in their own mess that I can't be a part of it. If they called me now needing anything I would do anything I could to help them, but I can't be around them on a daily or weekly basis anymore. When you think about the people he used to be close with and is rumored to not speak to anymore, it seems Flair is one of those people. Lost good friends in the process doing so, kids I grew up with. And honestly at that time I didn’t completely quit, I just picked better people to hang out with. People that went 50 mph instead of 250 mph if that analogy makes sense. Anyways I’m in my mid 50s now, clean and sober for some time and sadly, watching as those people that were going balls to the wall no longer breathing air. The partying life is a tough row to hoe indeed.

My story definitely isn't as bad as others , but there's physical and emotional pain that will be felt for a lifetime. I've seen what a simple drink can do to a room , and the people in it , and it's forced me to avoid ever drinking in life. For some people , getting drunk isn't an option , it's built in them to avoid people that abuse drinking entirely , and with Ric nearing dying from internal deterioration due to alcohol abuse , you would think he'd understand that . Respect your stance on being a good friend until it's no longer possible with certain people. It's the healthier option in the long run , even if those people never come back into your life in a healthy manner , you did your best but preserved your morality not to follow them into that hole.

I respected JR for owning up to his part in the plane ride from hell. That's what I think it was. He looked the other way when that stewardess was harassed/assaulted. Probably many other times too. When he was asked about it, he admitted it.

The only real problem with what Ross said was that if he were really a friend, he would have said this to Ric's face a long time ago and if he couldn't handle it, Fuckem! Ric Flair on podcasts is an absolute car-wreck. He can’t answer a question and just goes off on a tangent making everything about him. This was awkward to watch. Also, JR will ALWAYS be relevant, he’s the most iconic voice in the history of pro wrestling.

If he is talking about the plane ride from hell episode where ric got drunk stripped to nothing but his robe doing the helicopter with little naitch and cornering the flight attendants. The only real problem with what Ross said was that if he were really a friend, he would have said this to Ric's face a long time ago and if he couldn't handle it, Fuckem! Remember the old saying, "If you can't say something nice about someone, say nothing at all." Dark Side of Wrestling is Selective Justice and a bunch of Marks looking for a rating. Flair, Arn, Eaton, Taylor, and even Landel got me over and I will always thank them for wising me up. I witnessed Flair get so many of the workers over.
Dark side is great for entertainment purposes but if you're looking for that fact finding truth then look elsewhere. The plane ride from Hell episode was just the latest in many they've done were they omit certain facts and bend the truth with creative editing
