A lot of supports will really enjoy rakan, only support with multiple dashes which gives him tons of survivability. He also has very strong engage with his W and Ult, also has enchanter vibes with his q heal and e shield. He's a bit squishy as an engage champ, I was thinking of trying out zona's against AD comps and banshee's vs AP comps to give him that little bit extra, could even go the extra mile and get tank boots.
As an AP Rakan Mid main I love these buffs and his kit is super fun hes one of the only champs that Ive found to have fun playing if I have a bad game… I go electrocute sudden impact eyeball and relentless to allow more roams with manaflow and transcendence.. Max W then Q then E with points in R whenever possible… if you get some kills early and pay attention to your map where you can rotate you can control the game which a lot of assassins cant do late game like Rakan can
who knew that an ADC main like ioki could absolutely slaughter it on rakan like this

I stand with Nasus on this one, he's been asking for help 5 mins straight. While jg was babysitting bot. Ok stay at the winning lane as jg, but that was an overkill. And since the team can see Nasus can't handle Illaoi, heimer should switch lanes till bot and jg get fed or break 1st turret.
That being said, I am just another bronze supp looking at a Rakan video because I'm about to try him. I can't know better , right ?
Hmm , I would like a response about my tactics thought here in any case. It's good that it is you i0ki and you can help turn this around ,but in any other situation, everyone would be flaming Nasus.
Sometimes staying under turret just doesn't cut it and you need the help.
those were my thoughts exactly, itd be a different story if nasus just went 0/4 without saying anything and then had a problem with the team but hes really been asking for help and visibly struggling with the illaoi ;/

my friend is a rakan main and he likes to go electrocute rakan it works pretty well and of course he's got plenty of practice maybe you can try it sometime. not sure on the specifics but what i can probably guess is, electrocute with cheapshot, if supp zombie or ghost if mid eyeball, and ulti or relentless. secondary normally resolve or sorcery. of course feel free to build your own ap rakan though.
Personally I love running Glacial and Resolve secondary. Font of Life has *insane* value on Rakan, since your W, R, and Glacial can all proc Font of Life.
Even though it only heals a tiny bit, it counts as healing and therefore procs Shurelya's. That way, in teamfights and the like you can W multiple people and all allies have to do is follow up for Shurelya's to kick in. On top of that, Chemtech Putrifier works in the same fashion: cc enemy, allies follow up for heal and get any and all enchanter item buffs. You can apply items like Ardent Censer, Chemtech Putrifier, and more simply through Font of Life to rival the likes of Sona! The synergy is just insane!
EDIT: By the way, Pyke's W was really loud because you were below his execution threshold (even though he wasn't level 6). It's a good indicator to show if you're really in danger from Death From Below or not.

heads up rakan gamers, if you wanna go radiant keep in mind that you bank on being ahead in gold super hard. If the match up favors your botlane then do it ! make sure to combine RV with revitalize somewhere in your runes (i use glacial with resolve secondary, i also really like to be able to choose between bone plating or second wind since I just e or w out of most cc if i play it right)

i rock with it gives good self shielding and fixes his mana problem. I will usually only go RV bc i'll be goofy and go embrace second since RV gives you tons of health with legendary items

I freaking LOVE Rakan. He is such a fun and unique champion design. Also he can outrun even Akali. So thats a plus. I will never forgive myself for disenchanting his star guardian skin that I got from a chest. I think Riot also wants Thresh to be meta. Wich is also fun. Since he is the hook support that I think is the most fair. Out of Blitzcrank or Nautilus Thresh is definatelly better.
Yeah there's some big Thresh buffs on the way -- his damage is gonna be crazy, but his lantern slightly weaker! Can't wait to try it out :)

God/prince sir, with all respects to your way higher elo than mine, prince might be wrong here. With dark harvest and night harvester as mythic Rakan is probably the most pro-engage capable champ atm.
its not really about his AP that keeps his engage being mediocre, its his slow W speed that anyone can walk out of or dash out of. without R Flash W his engage is very unreliable and he's a MUCH better secondary engage
@@i0kiVids That's true. He does need F/R to guarantee landing abilities. Still very fun in full AP mode. Especially when you are in sync with someone like with Lee Sin in this vid.

I think all these buffs are literally a arms race. Riot makes money from skins, tickets and new champs. So instead of balancing the game, they un-balance it and try to make others happy by buffing them. S13 now is really reliant on yr bot lane not turbo feeding and carrying the enemy. So after being sick of this, I took my JG role & champ Shyvana to shyv support. It worked pretty good, cus u can diff there sup, and if yr team ends up with a mediocre JG, u can solo drag at lvl5 with basic items. Control mages and tank sup can't do that. So u basically become 2nd jungler. And yr garentee 1/2 kills at lvl6, either take ghost/ignite or flash.
