I really like the black chrome on the nightshade! Anyone who says SD isn't one of the best doesn't know what they're talking about. Fyi, I chose Fi Neo 4.11s which are also made in USA (the entire sub, not just parts of it)

Had the fi Neo 4.7 and it’s one of the best if not best sounding sub I’ve ever owned
I love that it’s made in America! I can actually hop on my bike and run down to Sundown world head quarters and buy them off the factory floor! That alone makes it worth more to me I know I can get parts, recones, specs, what ever I need!

Xv3s look like a zv4 motor with the zv5/ns 4 layer coil instead of the 8 layer from zv4. By the way thank you down 4 sound for my 10 xv3😜👍

Do the other guys sign your product for free or at all? Do the other guys constantly give you videos showing you products you might be curious about? Do you know who the "other" guy even is that you are buying from?
Way to be original. I bet if you actually bought a product and you wanted that signature really bad you could put it in the notes that you have saved up to buy (insert product here) and you do not have the money to opt for the signature but really wanted it and if he is available and could find the time to do so, you would appreciate it immensely. I am willing to bet if he is around that day your order is processed there is certainly a chance he would do it. I am not saying it will happen but given the fact no one will take the time to thank the man for what he does. People will always take the time to slander him as such. If you had wrote saying how appreciative you are, Those kind words and a little of your time would be worth it to him to go down, grab the product, open it, sign it, wrap it back up seal it, label it and put it up on the orders out.....You probably feel he should do for nothing, Would never think to do such as I said and certainly he has nothing better to do then to cater to you! Hey JP, whats the main difference between the Zv6 and the Nsv4? They both seem to handle around the same amount of power, and are both priced fairly similar. Is there a reason to run one over the other or is it strictly just personal preference?

Yeah, 4.25 cubic ft after displacements and lots of port area. I'm partial to tube style ports, but if you can do a kerf port, then that's good too. Go on ebay and look for custom enclosures for your sub and basically copy the dimensions. They are almost always listed in the descriptions. Or call Sundown and ask them to give you the specs

Got an x8v3 from JP. The thing showed up days before it was scheduled to and he autographed it too. Buncha free stuff.
Been waiting on a gately box for it. Wish I could say the same about Bobby's services. His site said allow 3 to 4 weeks for specialty boxes. I've been waiting this Friday will be the sixth week. I haven't bothered to call to inquire. I really would rather not. I'm not one to interrupt a man working but. I may have to here after a while.

Put 5k on an X or NSV5 daily it will blow & your warranty is void .. if sundown made the sub to take 5k they would rate it at that … RMS is constant power aka how much consistent power can this sub take day in day out ( there are more factors such as amp, clipping, enclosure etc that factors into power handling )

a NSV n dam sure not an XV3 is not taking 5000 rms daily, & a 5k amp w impedance rise isn’t 5000 rms. Unless the 5k amp is wired down low for burps. But that’s not daily when burping for spl comp or testing. Hope you gained some knowledge, & that XV3 is 🔥 you will love it. It will break shit lol

@@collinhathaway1435 A salt 4k / powerus 3500/ Bass clef 4k, crossfire C7 4k, or similar amp would go great paired w it if u have the electrical and know how. This way the amp isn’t at max n sub has power on tap to combat impedance rise. Ur warranty will get voided tho if u run em on a 5k & some happens so stick to sundown audio rec of around 3000 watts.

There is too many variables, Sundown rates them at what they are because they have the ability to be put in much smaller enclosures then like company drivers. If you run a small box, the lower the power handling. It is all about control and cooling.

What does that have to do with anything? I would never run 5k rms on a XV3 or a ZV5/6… a 5k amp w/ rise is much diff than clamped Rms. My car is nice to me so my current system is on my channel & is more SQ based. Helix DSP3 -> Zapco 150.4 AP-> Audiofrog GB 2 way & Zapco Z2KDII on 2 JL10W7 3.1 cubes tuned to 31/32 Hz w BAP.
You’d think Sundown would go to a 4-inch coil on the NSV’s by now.
Why? 3" coils are more efficient and generally louder.
X18 v3’s I love em I have a video of my two playing on my channel
They blew :/ coils unraveled some one still plays but the other unwound and smoked up n went kinda stuff from coil rub they played amazing when they did idk what killed it my voltage would drop but not low enough for clipping it could’ve been from clipping another time idk ima make sure everything right before I put them in
I have a x15v3 and it stinks bad I’m not clipping or overpowering it just stinks I have no faith in it lasting I’m going to sell this pos
how long have you had it you know there’s thermal paste on the coil your overpowering it’s gonna get a lil hot and stink for a while it’s not causing any damage to the subs it’s similar to breaking it in and might wanna check your power I didn’t think I was clipping but found out I was for about 3-4 weeks and then it blew on full tilt I was checking to see if it was clipping because it’s hit hard and not as hard after a bit then went full tilt smokeshow but for clipping 3-4 weeks barely any damage coil just came unwound leads were perfectly fine coil was fine except coming unwound
@@chris.o watch the sundown unofficial thermal test where it’s just the coil sitting on the table first thing to goes the thermal paste and that’s with not motor and cone cooling it down and it took a beating in that video sundown coils are crazy compared to other brands they just get better and better

3000 RMS so aim for a 5k amp. With impedance rise you will have some headroom in the amp and enough power on tap. If u run 8k to a sub It will blow & your warranty will be void
