V44X !! NEW Bowie Knife from Work Tuff Gear !

- Inspired by the WW2 Raider Bowie, design to be everything a Bowie knife was meant to be. About 16.25” overall, with a cutting edge of 9.25.” The weight is about 1.669 lbs. Blade stock is 3/16”. This first drop will have green G10 scales with coyote/orange liners. Hoping to have another drop soon with a quality stainless or corrosion resistant carbon steel in a satin finish, paired with a brown or green burlap or canvas micarta.

Now the handle is not great for throwing… I just did it for the video. It was more of a durability test.
Understandable since the knife isn't designed to be thrown. Looks like it would be fun to try though!
@@philm.5153 just gotta be careful… if it hits flat, it could bounce back…. A 1.667lb razor blade can do a lot of damage.
Axes, hatchets, knives....anything can bounce back. Always have to weigh the risks and take precautions.

Nice review, maybe the perfect one tool design. The reason I say MAYBE is because every thing is design perfect except maybe the fine carving and skinning you can do with the tip when you're arm is through the lanyard. Most people don't even know how to do that, or at least don't show it.
So, the question here is how good is balance and is the belly too wide for the dexterity you need with that grip so that you don't need an additional knife for those tasks. I like the additional thickness but a cutdown machete with the same basic design is virtually perfect except for the strength, especially in the tip.
Another thing you might want to try or experiment with, that works on the machete is putting a ranger band in the center of the grip on make a kukri style hump, this works like a guard to prevent your hand slipping when stabbing although you can't do much stabbing with a machete.
Last thing is the carry, if you're moving fast the sheath perfect for putting under a sash when your moving fast and need it tight to the body if you are going distance or climbing.

@@wellregulated8725 Love to see that, one more thing I like in a grind, but it makes the knife right or left handed is only bevel and sharpen on one side with the other side flat. It works better for skinning and as a draw knife. Works well for the machete because it's thin, not sure if it would on the thick steel. I'll sub so I can see that deer.
Love it man. Your design, the ergos, neutral handle, blade thickness and size really come together for the ultimate Bowie. Even the coloration is sweet. Great job brother and really excited for this one.

I do think these will sell out quickly lick most other WTG knives. I do think this Bowie has that iconic Bowie look. That alone with its function/feel… I think with great a large demand. I just hope people don’t have to wait too long for more to get out in the wild.

Very impressive. You got through that dead pine drop in less than 30 seconds! I wouldn't mind adding one of these to my collection. Come close to picking one up at a gun/knife show a couple years ago in all black. Wish I would have now. I really like the style. Where did you find yours at? Great video by the way.
