The Taj Mahal was NOT WHAT I EXPECTED 🇮🇳

  • Today we will visit the famous Taj Mahal in Agra, India. This trip to the Taj Mahal was a it different than expected because I was hoping to be able to relax and enjoy the beautiful tomb. However, what ended up happening is that we took selfies the entire time with people and didn't get to really enjoy it all that much. It was still an experience that I'm glad I had.

    When you visit in the middle of the day this is what happens. We went there at 5am and waited more than an hour until the door opened at sunrise (also it was during the week). Nobody bothered us and we had enough time to take photos and enjoy the view without too many people around. We also had time to go inside. The shady placed you have visited for your content, I would never take my family or my gf to those cheap areas man in a developing country. You should have gone to nicer cities, you didn't plan this trip at all. I have an Indian background but I would never visit India alone without a local contact if you don't want to stay in posh areas. Should have gone to South India or towards the Himalayas, Delhi is not for tourists at all.

    You are judging one place by that, there are so many places in india where the "white person" Doesn't get harassed. It can be annoying but it's more than the gov't there who sets up some rules or boundaries towards treatment of foreigners . Also the ironic thing is that would not be the video it is if this didn't' happen. Imagine Chris or any other vloggers go to USA an Europe and other western countries, no will give them permission, attention and maybe that much different content.

      It does not hurt me and this observation is not even limited to this one video. You went there at the worst possible time when it's full of illiterate people and in previous videos you went to shady neighborhoods. Little bit of presence of mind can save a lot of trouble like how you say you won't wear fake Rolex in American neighborhoods for your safety. It's like going out in the rain and then complaining that you got wet.

    • @Travelwithchris
      @Travelwithchris  Před rokem +3

      @@krunal7433 okay well I completely misunderstood your comment. It just came off rude, especially when I'm always honest and share my experiences like they are.
      Of course, I didn't enjoy my time in India but I tried to make the best out of it and always made it known that I wasn't having the best time.
      As you mentioned, it could've been the time of year I visited, the holiday, the fact that it just opened up again since COVID that had an impact on my trip, but the fact of the matter is this was my experience and I share my experiences on this channel the way that I have them.
      So I wasn't spreading negative, I was expressing my feelings, which is very valid to do since it is my video.
