The switch is perfect for me. My parents are divorced and I cant aford to buy 2 game setups. I just take my switch with me every week and the dock is easy to carry around my 2 houses

William BeBeau facts tho. I was surprised at how expensive the games were. Iâve bought super smash broâs, Mario kart, legend of Zelda, and animal crossing (over a span of a couple months). Iâm not buying anymore because nothing else is worth the money tbh.

@@redoarceneaux1203 Pokémon, while it's still pretty good and still a solid option, as a video game buying addict myself, the game is just a bit lackluster and feels a bit rough around the edges when compared to those other titles mentioned. Not to mention, in times like these, games like Animal Crossing, Breath of the Wild, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are fantastic titles you can sink your teeth into that offer hundreds upon hundreds of hours of enjoyment. Not saying it can't be done with Pokémon if you're a die hard fan, but for most people, I don't believe the game has quite the same replayabilty factor as the other titles.

Interestingly, ine of the cheaper screens is one of the best and easiest to apply. The ONN brand Switch screen protector has a nifty applicator to make it easy.

I bought that screen protector and it makes no sense lol. Mine was backwards. Itâs easier to put on than iPhone so itâs fine

For anyone getting a Switch, I'd advise getting a screen protector as well. For a Nintendo console, the Switch is fairly delicate.
Yes, a screen protector is quite important. Otherwise the Switch dock scratches the Switch screen.
I havenât actually had a problem with screen scratches at all. Iâve had my switch since last Christmas and I never bought a screen protector. I just make sure to be the most careful mf-er on the planet when I put it in the dock. Itâs definitely plausible to make it without one and have no screen scratches.
I got a small scactch just from accidentally touching my joycon with the screen (theres an area that is slightly sharp in the side so i recommend adding the strap thing that you slide to the joycon)
I have an HDE case with a screen protector that came with it. Still saving up for a Switch.

When I first got the Nintendo switched I had no idea what to start with. I saw that legend of Zelda had some good reviews so bought it. I didnât think Iâd like it because I never play storyline games, but omg I was BLOWN AWAY with that game. Also, you do not need to have any knowledge of passed Zelda games. BOTW was the first legend of Zelda game Iâve ever played, and since the guy you are playing lost his memory, you learn about what happened at the same pace as him. I just recently bought animal crossing NH and it continues to impress me and keep me playing for hours lol. I reccomend starting with animal crossing and legend of zelda. Both will keep you entertained for a long time.

At one point I incorrectly mentioned the Switch having 5.5 - 9 hours of batter life. I should have said 4.5 - 9 hours.

We badly need a switch premium. A Glass screen protected with industry wide corilla glass 5 and a premium matte finish on the sides. Screen should be almost bezeless from screen to joycons. A Super Amoled screen running at 1080P 60fps. Using Tegra's new 11nm chip
@@kysierkevin I'd like to have some physical/ aesthetic upgrades as well, like official grip-cons complete with IR and HD rumble. Also, adjustable screen tilt. I tend to hold a controller a little flatter than an angle that provides me with an optimal view in hand held mode. If I could tilt the screen towards me yet still keep arms relaxed, that would really enhance the experience.

However the game and a switch are quite expensive so if you're planning not to play anything else I'm unsure if that's really worth it. Look into discounted second hand ones maybe :)

My advice is to savings, as the switch is a much bigger investment than any other platform. only get exclusives, as switch games are more expensive than buying them on other platforms (as well as having lower visuals). opting for other controller brands is a good way to cut down on costs, you will miss out on some features, but Nintendo charges a lot for controllers and other accessories. If you plan on playing handheld mode a lot, buying grips is a wise investment.
@@Alexeon the sn 30 pro+ is good option imo. It's like a cross between a snes controller and a PlayStation controller (my preferred controller), has everything but amibo support (which I don't have any) and costs half what the Nintendo pro controller does.
I don't mind paying higher prices because I like handheld mode and the durability of cartridges. Still, it's up to you for what you want to on your Switch.
This.. Regarding handheld play grip case are a MUST have.. Skull and Co grip case or Satisfye Grips are the best in the market IMHO.
I recommend playing mario games first, because you will get used to the switch and also, itâs really fun!

Note that you CAN transfer your downloaded games from one sd card to switch internal memory, and vice versa. So you can more easily upsize to a bigger SD card this way

Screen protector is important for both the standard and Lite models that's the first thing that should be purchased, then the microSD card (128GB and up). For controllers you can go the Pro Controller & Joy Con route or if you have the switch's dock use the 8bitdo bluetooth receiver to use your Xbone, DualShock 4, other Bluetooth controllers that you might already have.

I actually have the lite, just got it actually. Itâs been amazing since I donât really have other people to play with and Iâm never in one spot. Not to mention I love watching tv while Iâm playing (yes, Iâm Weird... I know). Also since Iâve never had an actual switch, I donât know what itâs like to have the detachable joycons and what not (ok now I sound like my grandmađ) I got the lite because I really missed the portable era, being someone who had all of the game boys and the last thing I had being a 2ds (I think??) (đ someone stole it though but we wonât go there) So anyway in closing, if you donât plan to play multiplayer or any types of just dance games or even if you travel ALOT maybe bus rides to and from school and stuff like that Iâd recommend the switch lite because itâs more portable and lightweight.. and compared to my cousinâs regular switch it feels less âbreakable â (honestly I donât know if that last bit even made sense)
Iâm planning on buying the Nintendo lite for when I go to uni (even though we already have a Nintendo switch) it just seems more portable and easy to use. the joycons felt weird when I first tried them but theyâre really fun to use đ

This was really great and helpful too. I'm thinking about buying the Nintendo switch lite since I prefer to play games in handheld mode most of the time. I changed my mind about buying the Nintendo switch v2 since I don't really play games on the tv that much anymore and the Nintendo switch lite is more portable and cheaper too.

I bought a switch for my son's birthday and we have been using it for a week now.
We both love it. Now i have always had a weekness for Nintendo so my opinion is a bit biased.
We play mario kart mostly, but have a few other games.
Coming up on the half year mark on my Switch, Joycon Drift becomes a major issue if you use the system often. I've had to replace mine once already, with another replacement pair needed because I snapped the wires of one of the replacements on accident. A big, BIG thing about the Switch Lite is that it inevitably will also get drift, and is incredibly complicated to take apart and replace. This is the first console I've had where opening up the console was required to continue play due to the pricy joycons. Also, a case with an extended battery is a great investment, but apparently the new Switch model has better battery life so I'm not sure how relevant that is now.
Fun fact if u go into themes and select black rather than white ur battery goes down slightly slower when ur in the home screen I also recommend turning on the ability to view ur battery percentage and not buying a screen protector as a good quality case is enough
Also the newer model doesnât heat up as much

I like the joycon and the grip that came in the box. I'm not picky. Some people complain about everything. Probably because it's Nintendo.
I hope they release all the Neptunia games on the Switch. Played them on PC and vita, would love to play them again on the Switch. Those are great handheld games. It's a stretch, but I hope the original trilogy gets released on PS3 get ported to other systems.

I hope Nintendo remakes the Harvest Moon games for the switch.. I always loved playing those back in the day. They remind me a lot of Animal Crossing but with more in depth story lines
In July (at least in Germany) there will be a remake from a harvest moon game - friends of mineraltown. But the Original harvest moon ist now known as story of seasons.
I loved to play this game when I was a child, so I am looking forward to it really badly. â€

Good briefing of what the console is what it offers. I, personally, was expecting something like "if you're buying this for a kid between 4 and 8, these are the games they might like" or "if you haven't had a nintendo console since the SNES or N64, there are new DKC and Mario games", or "if you love RPGs, then these are the main ones in the console".
And "if you're buying this for your two kids, buy another controller so the original joycons dont wear out so quickly". But great video still

Botw was one of the best games I got, don't forget to grab Hyrule Warriors for the switch and Smash Ultimate! They're the best games in my opinion đ
I could be mistaken but aside from some gameplay footage at the end of this video, I think you forgot to mention fire emblem three houses as a gift/game idea.

Having the choice between a switch and switch lite at this point is almost non existent. The regular is completely sold out and the lite is hardly available, so act fast
I managed to score a Switch V2 bundle thanks to a friend helping keep an eye out online.
Within maybe an hour of scoring myself the bundle, GameSlop's entire inventory had sold out!
Probably mostly to scumbag hoarders that will try to price gouge bored and switch-yearning gamers, but still. The stock disappears fast!
