Are you considering doing one for Bilbo
samwise I don’t know!
Can you do something for Thorin? Something about his honour?
I legit teared up and cried a bit watching this.
The Great Tigorian Channel thank you!:)
Frodo carried the ring. He was the ring bearer.
Sam carried both Frodo and the ring. He was the friend we should all aspire to be.
Legacy he was the ring bearer bearer!
The friend I should have been for my Fiancee... but I failed her. I became the opposite, I hurt her so badly. 2 months later now, we are talking, trying to work it out. I promise u my love, Cathleen, I'm making a promise , never ever hurt her again Johnny. I promise to be ur Sam Wise and carry u and ur daughters through everything. To give u and be everything u deserve.
Too many people say they want a friend like Sam, not that they want to be Sam. Well done.
@@Wanderer628 The person with a friend like sam knows he was helped, the person who was like sam knows he helped.
And he carried the food
I love what Sams character epitomizes in LotR. It's that you don't necessarily need to have any "skillset" to be a hero. All Sam had was a good heart and always did the right thing. He ended up being the real hero of the whole story. Whilst others were great fighters, leaders, diplomats or even wizards, it was ultimately because of Sams unwavering goodness that the ring was destroyed, and he did it with nothing but love and gratitude in his heart.
Wish YT would let me copy and paste this. Heartwarming
Real....
Everyone should strive to be Sam...
What a great explanation. I loved that.
u said everything
Tolkien himself said Sam was the true hero
He truly was. Since Frodo, the main hero, the supposed ultimate good of the story, has FAILED! He was passed by the ring.
I think it was one of the greatest morals of the story. That no matter how just and righteous you are, you can't stand against the evil *alone.*
Sam was exposed to the Ring almost as much as Frodo was, and Sam never wanted it for himself.
@@rithrius5384 Frodo also didn't have much trouble giving the ring away in the first film. So if Sam carried the ring for even half of the road to Mordor. Frodo and Sam would fight. Don't underestimate human nature.
@@rithrius5384 No. Sam only had to war against the will of the ring from Shelob's cowering to the recovery of his beloved friend.
Frodo had to war against the ring from the shire to mount doom.
@@pumpkingamebox yea. the only reason sam was not corrupted was because he accepted he couldn't touch the ring
I heard once that Sam was loosely based on the many comrades that Tolkien fought alongside during WW1. Sam himself is a tribute to so many brave men who were dogged, persistent, loyal, and dependable even in the worst of circumstances. Sam isn’t a complicated character; he is never presumptuous or glory-seeking and never tried to create a great role for himself in the story. Instead he was humble. He simply decided, as Gandalf would say, what to do with the time that had been given him. We should all be more like Sam.
He fought in the first one
Well said.
WW1*
Nope, be more like Eren Yeager.
The best character of the shire froddo is annoying
Bro Code 101:
You're allowed to cry at Lord of the Rings
It’s fair to say from my perspective of the movies and books. Sam was the real hero of the story. He was never corrupted, and never had a selfish moment. He was a “friend” personified to perfection.
Well when u think about it the ring was on Frodo so he had a lot of weight on his shoulders they were both the true heros
Death by LOL maybe, but in the books, sam was frodo’s gardener... his gardener dude! and to think how much he did for him. maybe frodo was bold enough to start the task, but sam had to literally carry him by the end. if sam hadnt given that speech they never would have been let go. a man layed down his life because he heard the little halflings speech. he was a true friend right to the end, and even when shunned he returned. maybe frodo did bear the ring. but he never would have had the chance to destroy it without samwise the brave.
@@deathbylol2745 I think it's one of the greatest morals of the story. That no matter how just, righteous, strong,or Good you are. You can't stand up to evil alone. Frodo bore the ring all the way to Mordor and still failed. And all would have been lost if it weren't for his friend.
I guess in other words. Don't be afraid to ask for help.
@@nutebarlow1751 he was also his gardener in the movies
@Stoney Renegade he said sam was the true hero, so yes he did
"But even as hope died in Sam, or seemed to die, it was turned to a new strength. Sam's plain hobbit-face grew stern, almost grim, as the will hardened in him, and he felt through all his limbs a thrill, as if he was turning into some creature of stone and steel that neither despair nor weariness nor endless barren miles could subdue." Samwise the Baller, Samwise the Unbowed, Samwise the best.
I don’t want to like cus 69 but that is such a good quote
There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man."
Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken
Samwise the baller 😂
THIS is how you write true love and friendship. Samwise Gamgee is hands down one of the best fictional characters ever written.
There is not even need to comment the quality anymore!
Giacomo Venir thank you so much!:)
Of all the days I see of rising sun and light of noble spirit, I shall exclaim my joy in awe of every majestic creation and celebrate without missing day the beauty of life and the mighty courage of the brave.
@@thebenjiguy Is that a quote? If not, know that you sound inspired :D
@@KarmasAB123 Thank you, Jacob
I like to write of such things. (:
Frodo saves Sam from drowning.
Sam saves Frodo from burning.
They were both heroes in their own right, but they also needed each other.
Totally agree. I totally agree that Sam is the true hero for how much he had to do near the end to overcome but Frodo's friendship is what kept Sam driving, I also don't think Sam could've taken the ring to Mordor without it corrupting him as it would've fed on his sadness and loss of Frodo. You can even see Sam is already a under it's control when Frodo asks for the ring back.
@@mrmoviemanic1 Yeah, totally agreed. I feel like people tend to conveniently "forget" that Frodo was the one carrying the ring. In no capacity did Sam ever experience what Frodo was going through every step of the way, especially as they got closer and closer. Even if the roles were reversed and Sam was made ringbearer, he would still need his very own Samwise Gamgee.
Sam and Frodo’s friendship was the true hero of the story. They never give up on each. And one without the other could never have survived.
The great lesson in "The Lord of the Rings" that Tolkien was trying to get across is that you don't need great power or magic or skill to be a hero. You just need to be willing to sacrifice and do what is right when the time comes. Sam is the truest hero in the story.
“I can’t carry it but I CAN carry you!”
Great moment in cinema history!
' there's some good in this world, Mr Frodo, and it's worth fighting for '
“It's like the great stories, Mr. Frodo, the ones that really mattered...”
Amazing tribute to the unsung hero of The Fellowship! :)
Stannis. M.R. Thank you!:)

We all say we need a friend like Sam when really we need to be more like Sam
Magnificent tribute to the bravest hobbit there ever was!
Harry Squire Thank you!:)
seems like a good goal to me.
Sam is the real hero 👌🏻
I had tears in my eyes when Frodo did not trust him and was in the influence of the ring.. But Sam never gave up on him.. Frodo could do what he was asked for only coz of Sam i feel.. He was that friend who did not give up on Frodon when Frodo gave up on himself.. A friend life Sam could make life so easy n worth living... I love him from the core of my heart...Frodo was courageous but Sam was not anyless... He was one of the most important characters in LOTR series....
Me too. Frodo was so ill though, that was terrible to witness such a beautiful friendship being almost torn apart by that plague that was the Ring. Sam was the greatest friend ever.
@Divine Lotus what are you talking about? The ring influenced and corrupted Frodo ever since he first put it on.
I love how Sam is the only character in lord of the rings that gave the ring up when returning it to Frodo. Really solidifies him as someone who won’t be corrupted by evil.
Bilbo Baghins
Idk about in the books, but remember in Return of the King movie, he was hesitant at first with giving it back, which shows the corruptible power of the ring
I'd like to think that that was only because how desperate Frodo was to have it back.
I used to make fun of Sam growing up as a kid but as I get older I realize he's the epitome of friendship.
"I'm not going to cry"
2:26 and beyond... 😭
Thank you!:)
Sam is the perfect example of what a side kick should be. Someone who the protagonist needs in order to accomplish something.
Sam is the person by whom Frodo could not overcome all the troubles of his burden and path alone, a true friend and brave hobbit!
This video is a perfect
proof of that! Masterpiece, my friend.
Crusade588 thank you so much my friend!:)
So true
There is some good in this world and it's worth fighting for
Samwise the brave
I don't know why, but this really hit me in the heart. Samwise is such a great loving character. He's my favorite character. He has the heart and bravery that no other has.
He's definitely Samwise the Brave
Thank you!:)
Thank you dearly for this video. My name is Samuel and Samwise was always my favourite Lord of the Rings character.
My sister and I both love the books and the movies.
Today would be her birthday. Sadly, she died a little over a year ago. I'm sure she would have loved this.
This really means a lot to me.
saal_sol thank you so much, I’m sorry for your sister, I hope this video brought you joy!
I'm sorry for your loss, But remember, That even darkness must pass, a new day will come. And the sun will shine out the clearer.
And if this world knows any love or justice, Then you and your family will see your sister one day. Maybe not tomorrow or the day after that, or the day after that. But one beautiful day.
On a white shore bordering green fields.
She's with Sam and Frodo in the Undying Lands
From one to another, I only hope we can work to maintain the name.
Stay good my friend.
This was absolutely stunning. Sam is my favourite character in LotR. Amazing job on this! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much!:)
"By rights we shouldn't even be here... but we are."
It's not much of a phrase, but still one of my favorite quotes from this trilogy. It resumes exactly what the story about Frodo and Sam was : a matter of circumstances, a duty that came upon them because Frodo was Bilbo's heir, and because Sam listened to Gandalf speech back in Hobbiton.
it's not okay to cry to this when you're 30 on a saturday just before you're going in a cab to meet your friends.. right?
He has always been my favourite character from the LOTR series. I love how subtle the transition from “Mr. Frodo” to “Frodo” is
I didn't expect the official soundtrack to be used in the 2nd half but I am not complaining in the slightest.
Excellent job! He's my favourite character, helping Frodo till the end, and never loosing hope
Francisco Fernández Bravo thank you!:)
Everyone just want a friend like Sam.. If everyone had at least one friend like him , the World wouldnt be like it is today..
Then try to be a friend like Sam
The guts and bravery to match any warrior, endless compassion, not afraid to wear his heart on his sleeves, dependable and loyal to a fault! After everything that happened Sam didn't want to do anything but be a gardener. What more could you ask for in any character!?🔥🔥🔥
The truest friend ever portrayed on screen 🥰
I felt that "dont you let go"
2:26 Wow I never noticed this parallel before! Both of them saving each other in total desperation by reaching out their hand! Amazing stuff!
Thank you!:)
Just the small clips of Sam gardening, taking care of those little flowers, and looking so proud of them.
I'm not crying, your crying.
a heart as pure as an untouched glass, a willpower as tough as a diamond and an ego less than his size. Any of you know anyone who deserves to be admired more than this little giant. This tribute had my eyes wet and I just love how his story begins as a garden keeper, goes as a Fellowship member and ends by sailing to Valinor alone and none has heard of him afterwards…
"I'm going to Mordor alone!'
"Of course you are! And I'm coming with you!"
🥺😭
why doesnt this have more likes aaahhahaha
Sam Wise THE BRAVE is the kind of friend everyone is looking for, but few ever find!
Sam is the heart and soul of courage, hope, and friendship. In many ways, he is the best character of all time.
“I believe there’s a hero in all of us. That gives us strength, keeps us honest, makes us noble, and finally allows us to die with pride.”
So loyal. So brave.
If I could be anything like this man, even a bit, I would be one step closer to being a better person.
Just watched your Obi Wan and Ahsoka tributes, and after seeing this one I've gotta say man: I don't know what it is you dream of being paid to do with this talent but is damned time someone pay you to do it. Fucking hell these are amazingly powerfully composed.
Thank you so much it means a lot!:)
I'm here crying at work cause of this video, thank you!
Darlene Rodick thank you so much!:)
@@mederecord7991 thank you!!! Your videos always make my week if not longer!
One of the most brave characters. Nobleza y valentía en un personaje. Como seguir cuando otros no pueden. Y ayudarlos a seguir. By Sam
Yeah finally the samwise the brave video yess!!!!
This story brings tears to my eyes
Sam was the true hero of the trilogy.
Undying loyalty to his best friend, he was never corrupted by the ring
We could all use a Samwise
"It's me, it's your Sam."
Many say it is admirable that Frodo carried the weight of the Ring all the way to Mordor, but I say it's fucking insane that Sam carried the weight of his massive balls all the way to Mordor.
As a boy when reading the books I wanted to be Aragorn Legolas or Gandalf. As a man the more I read and grow the more I just want to be a Sam, with Rosie and the little ones. True blue honest and humble. I thought once I’d want to be a king but no thank you. I’ll be a hobbit and love my family and the shire. All is well.
Sam is absolutely the greatest character in the trilogy!!! And the parallel between Sam drowning and Frodo falling 😭😭😭👍
Thank you!!:)
Seven dislikes? The Dwarf Lord's must hate Sam.
Man. You really realize how poetic the writing was, especially for Sam's lines. An amazing story.
Truly a beautiful video. Good job!
Thank you so much again!:)
Sam goes beyond anything I could ever say about how truly awesome he is!
To those good friends that we lost in our lives. For them
Samwise represents how even the simple flower boy can be the best man
I barely comment any youtube video even if a watch/listen a lot. But this tribute deserves one. You did an incredible job. I found myself literally completly immersed in your production with ease, I almost forgot I was in front of my laptop, I felt like I was INSIDE you video with all of my mind, all of my heart, all of my memories and soul. I think this video fits Samwise perfectly: simple yet full of content. The choice of the musics is perfect, and even if the main theme (second part) does not always fit perfectly with the frames you MAJESTICALLY chose (my personal opinion) you could not have chosen a better one. Samwise is not among my favourite characters from Tolkien universe (btw I have many exp. from the books) indeed I felt soo good watching it. You celebrated perfectly the story this strong hobbit is telling us, communicating not only the philosophy he carries to feed our thoughts, but also all of the feelings he wants to deliver and generate. You did great on stressing that adjective you also put in the title: Brave. It is not just a mere title, watching this video you really feel it, and that is inspiring. If my company or one of the associations for which I work will ever need a video, and you will be avaiable, I'll pay anything to count on your artistic ability. I could write an essay on this and other beautiful video you produce but I'll stop here.Thank you very much for what you do, please, keep going. Love from Italy.
Emanuele Abrami Thank you so much for this comment! It’s means a lot to me! If you ever need a video you can always contact me!:)
Sam is the real hero of the trilogy he’s not a hero he’s not a warrior he’s not wizard he is just a gardener he is the every day man
Samwise the gardener... you're the true hero and 50% protagonist.
Oh, God. The flute part w/ low harmonized hummings in the background at 3:58 always gets me. It always has this humbling feeling-full of hope, friendship, bravery, and of all the good in this world. It's one of the best things I've heard in the entirety of my life. I will for ever love Tolkien and the world he created. May Eru bless your soul for making videos like this!
Thank you so much!:)
Sean Astin as Sam maybe the one of the greatest castings in cinema history. I can’t think of an actor past or present that can play this role
Sam and Pippin are my favorite characters.
That one dislike was from Gollum
Sam is the soldier on a war that came to him. He never wanted to be a hero, he did what he had to, just to be forgotten by those who write history. His name is not a big one, he is just some one who was there. Yet without him nothing would've been accomplished.
I’ve watched this video every day since it was posted, and it brings me to tears every time. Sam holds such a special place in my heart. Thank you for this beautiful character tribute!
Thank you so much!:)
"I can't carry it for you but I can carry you!"
Sam carried Frodo when Frodo could not carry himself. A true friend indeed❤
wow they're such good actors!
Simply the greatest acting performance never to be officially recognised. FUCKING. OUTSTANDING.
the most loyal guy in middle earth
I look up to sam so much, I wish i had a friend like him or at least be like him as a friend
Gandalf certainly didn't turn him into anything unnatural.. but he made him show it, he made him show his unnatural abilities. His love, his will.. his strength.
the entirety of Mount Doom scenes with Frodo and Sam are amazing and shows just how much Sam is a true hero of LOTRS. The ending of ROTK still makes me sad to this day, I remember crying at end of ROTK in theaters.
My all time favorite character. Sam is a legendary.
Tribute to the best friend in all the literature combined with Shore's score equals perfection. Thank you.
This legit mad me wanna cry lol Sam really is the hero of these movies
Thank you!
The best relationship in the entire series
Always remember, Frodo betrayed the Fellowship at the end.
Moral of the story: the sober friend is the most helpful and greatful person you can have in your path to greatness.
This video is absolutely amazing! It captures the true character of sam, the bravest hobbit that ever lived, who is also my favorite character of the entire series! Here's to the unsung hero of Lord of the Rings! Samwise the brave!
Thank you!
Yourwelcome!
I was once told that is was a lot like Sam and never have I ever got a better compliment
Sam is my fav character , the true hero of LOTR ...love Sean Astin
I like how you let Sam and Frodo tell the tale themselves, through the clips.
Pretty much says it all.
Somehow I never noticed the direct parallels of Frodo and Sam at the end of each film, Frodo reaching to Sam through water, Sam reaching to Frodo through Fire, and between Frodo with a sword to Sam's throat. The shots of the hands switched is beautiful
Sam earned his Happy Ending
A true friend like Sam is so hard to come by
Sam's monologue in Osgiliath is the greatest monologue ever in any movie, or dare I say any medium, period. Not only is Sean Astin's delivery perfect, but it's a great meta commentary on why stories matter and why The Lord of the Rings is like one of the "old stories." It gets me choked up every time.
Sam turns into a god in the third film man could move mountains
6 months and at least 50 views later... it’s still perfect and still brings me to tears. I just love everything about it. Sam is often overlooked, but in reality he’s one of the most important characters. So beautiful ❤️
Thank you so much!:)
Sam was the most important person in the film he helped frodo destroy the one ring and was always there for frodo
Absolutely love love it.
Thank you!:)
The unsung hero 👊💓💯✨️
Frodo is my favourite character, but Sam pushed Frodo so hard when Frodo needed it. A true hero does that. Frodo is the Soul of Lord of the Rings and Sam is the heart of it. I'm so grateful for these movies.
And he got the girl in the end! Way to go Sam!
Samwise is the definition of the real chad. He satisfy about what he have and he care more about peoples he love than himself.
"Let him go you filth" said sam to shelob "let him go! You will not touch him again".
just seriously the best trilogy of movies of all time. like its just so OBJECTIVLEY perfect
A simple gardener saves the Middle of Earth ♥
Get you a man like Samwise Gamgee, the greatest companion in all of Fantasy. Without him, Frodo would never have stood a chance.
