Edit 1: Having now seen Anatomy of a Fall, I can confirm both Sandra Hüller and Justine Triet deserved nominations.
Edit 2: Oppenheimer has won Best Picture! Well fucking deserved, as well as the legend Christopher Nolan finally getting his Best Director award. About bloody time.

the real disgrace not being talked about here is that this movie didn’t receive a razzie!!

The fact it was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay is ridiculous. The script is appalling.

Wow people have never argued over the results of the oscars before. This must be the fall of western society. I hate it when movies are "political." Wokness has truly ruined the world....

Never said there was anything wrong with arguing over Oscars results, I did just that in the video. The distinction I made was between those saying “I think X movie should have won instead of Y movie”, and those claiming that their movie was entitled to it, or that it not winning is a terrible disgrace. The narcissism on display of the rabid Barbie mob is very evident, and is typical of the far-Left leaning terminally online people that always think they’re better (and know better) than everyone else. This ‘fall of Western society’ thing gets thrown at me a lot, I find it interesting that it’s always chosen by you guys as a sarcastic point, when the cultish dogma that’s often called ‘woke’ really IS majorly affecting our society for the worse, in lots of ways.
There’s nothing wrong with politics in movies either, and I’ve said that many times. What matters is the content included, and how its used/implemented. Look at shows like Star Trek: TNG, that expertly intertwine issues into their plots, without de-immersing the viewer and without clearly pushing one side over the other. It almost always gives a balanced, fair perspective that shows the audience multiple arguments and viewpoints on the subject, and allows them to decide for themselves who/what is right. Compare that with Barbie or your average 2020s Disney film, which completely sacrifices the integrity and quality of the storytelling and characters and functions purely as a venue to shove ideological bilge down our throats. The ‘characters’ become hollow mouth-pieces, puppets for the propaganda, the plot becomes a shallow avenue for the thinly veiled dogma, and the entire production is rendered a farce.
Feel free to try and dispute anything I’ve said here or in my video, or is sarcasm all you’ve got?
