Here are some interesting facts about the movie
1) Ilaiyaraaja pre-composed six tunes and wanted to give it to someone who can use all of them in a single movie. So, Vaidehi Kathirunthal storyline was developed to use these tunes.
2) This tune for "Azhagu Malaraada" was initially a love duet. But to fit in the story, it was converted into a solo song with different beats to bring in the emotion. Look how great he is to give the emotion we are seeing now using the same tune but with different music
3) When this movie was screened somewhere near Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu every day a herd of elephants came near the theatre when the song "Raasathi unna kaanadha nenju" was played. They go back after listening to the song

Not all actors / actresses are trained classical dancers. Some are, like Revathy, Shobana, Banu priya, Kamal Hassan, Vineeth to name a few.
Revathy is a great actor and an OK dancer . I am her fan for her acting ... she is a person who can excel in small and subtle actions. Even in this song, her facial expression conveys her plight more than her dance.

It’s a musical hit movie. Revathi is a classical trained dancer. Unique story Revathi’s husband dies because of excess water. Vijayakanth’s lover dies because of lack of water. Hard to compare the dance skills of padmini with Revathi. But she is also classical dancer. The energy is based on the song and the emotions which requires for each song
