Such a tragedy to see a brilliant man slowly fading away. Thank you David for creating a Deadwood, one of the best TV Series of all time.

Man I'm in tears watching this. I felt something similar watching Terry Jones fade away. Deadwood is my favorite show of all time. David Milch is a genius.

David, thank you, I can't express how much Deadwood inspired me in the attempt to improve my writing. Any amount of success I've had is in large part because of you and your work.

huge fan of Deadwood, will go down as one of the greatest tv shows in history. He elevated so many actors and actresses with his writing. I work in the ALZ industry and it's a very unpredictable journey. He has a strong family that will be with him every step of the way.

David is great. His fantastic work on Deadwood will last forever. We would all be so greatfull to say that something we did will last forever.

David is one of those people who I love deeply despite never having met. His work is just that important to me. This made me want to cry... It's so tragic to see him in this condition compared to how dynamic and youthful he was in interviews on the set of Deadwood, etc. But I'm glad he still has days ahead of him, days of happiness despite the darkness. True Detective Season 3 which he co-wrote was a really moving portrayal of what it's like to have Alzheimers and watching it recently made me think of him. I could hear his inimitable voice in some of that season's dialogue. It's great he managed to make the Deadwood movie as well despite his condition. He's a genius and will be missed greatly when he passes.

Great memoir, A Life's Work. Quite a complicated man who self sabotaged himself in so many ways.

  • @Dysgyzed

I was and am so sorry to hear of this brilliant man's illness, and am now again amazed that his creativity is not vanquished.

  • @DSTH323

Just started David Milch's book on Audible, "Life's Work". Fantastic.

I lost my father to this disease. His descent was mercifully quite gentle and gradual until almost immediately before his passing.

  • @austinaskew7643

Amazing, it's hard to put our loved ones diagnosed with Alzheimer's in the public light. The worst part of many diseases is how ashamed we are of being the victim of the disease or being a caregiver. We need to be more open with each other. This is human suffering. Open this up to all of us. I saw my grandma suffer through this and am terrified of seeing it happen to my dad, my brother or myself or even my daughter one day. Families should not suffer in silence. The more we witness each other's suffering, the more we will be willing to do what we need to do to help all of humanity. Let's help each other, we're all we got

My favorite tv show has been NYPD BLUE. I am watching it from the first episode to the end.

  • @r.c.reasor4807

Such an amazing writer and man! For his incredible mind to be lost to us especially in this way is tragic.
