    I have the same pack. I bought it when LA Police Gear first released them for what I guess must have been an introductory price of 45 dollars! I love the pack and use it all the time. I have loaded it down intentionally heavy with 50+ lbs of gear and taken it for a 12 mile hike. It was very comfortable. It has plenty of room for all the gear I need for even an extended outing. I'm very happy with my purchase.

    That backpack is probably one of the best I have seen other than the Sandpiper of California brand which I have. It can carry quite a bit and the one I have is similar and it can have the water bladder in it also. I carry two canteens (one on my utility belt, and one in the backpack), and have a backup knife in my kit. You made a good choice in backpacks and it should serve you well for years.

    Wow, great video, no one discusses their snowshoe set up. I sometimes worry about certain Cordura in colder weather, I've had some that literally gets so had you can't do anything with it. Your area of the country is closer to Canada and if it works for you it should work for us. One of the considerations we have to take for living in the north, at least there are no snakes or giant spiders.

    • @HighCarbonSteelLove
      @HighCarbonSteelLove  Před 5 lety

      Thank you for watching, A J! Very nice to hear from you, my friend! I had noticed that years ago, I tried to find videos on people showing their snowshoe setup but was unsuccessful so I thought this could help show how useful this pack can be. Especially for Northerners like us..haha! So far, the cordura has held up really well in the changing weather. Yes, here in western NYS, we are not far from you, at all! You are exactly right...no giant snakes or spiders or the mass amount of large ticks they have in the south. -Dave

    4:42 Molly is the Best on all packs...
    6:40 I see that your Elastic Mesh bottle holder is already damaged after a short use of the bag...this is why I prefer molly attachment over elastic mesh....to many of my past bags with outer elastic mesh pockets, end up worn out, or the mesh is torn.
    8:11 The sleeping bag compartment is a great option. I like it.

      Same here. My 3 main brands for budget packs are LAPG, Teton, and mountainsmith

      Thank you for watching and leaving your kind words, my friend! Great question - they are both outstanding packs and not dissimilar to each other. The differences that have stuck out for me are that the this LAPG has molle on the bottom which is a big deal for me and has nice side compression straps, while the Teton has neither. But the sleeping bag compartment unzips on the Teton, it has longer straps on top of the pack and weighs about 1.5 pounds lighter than this LNT pack. They are both great packs. Hope this helps! -Dave

    Hey Dave Nice Pak hey I'm 6 ft 5 in tall and I have a hard time finding a backpack to fit you think that pack will fit someone tall

      Hey Clint! Thank you for watching and great question, my friend! I think this pack does have the ability to fit someone tall, as it has the adjustable shoulder strap harness system, allowing you to customize. I appreciate you taking the time to stop by! -Dave

    Do they make a pack a little smaller or with an internal frame?

    • @HighCarbonSteelLove
      @HighCarbonSteelLove  Před 5 lety

      One of my favorite packs is the LAPG Operator backpack, which is smaller and has an internal frame at an excellent price! My LAPG 24 hour Atlas pack also has an internal frame. Great question, eric! -Dave

    Very nice backpack. I would think it will last for years of use.

    Hi Dave, not sure about this Pack, the mesh on the inside of your shoulder straps looks as worn out as the one on my 12 year old every day daypack. unless you wear it every day over a sheet of sandpaper it doesn't seem to be very high quality... and I doubt you wear sandpaper for a jacket ;-)

    • @HighCarbonSteelLove
      @HighCarbonSteelLove  Před 5 lety

      Actually, I do have a sandpaper jacket that I wear sometimes..haha! Not sure what you were seeing but the mesh on the inside is actually quite durable. Thank you for stopping by, my friend! -Dave

    Have you carried an axe with that pack yet?

    • @HighCarbonSteelLove
      @HighCarbonSteelLove  Před 5 lety

      Thank you for watching and great question, Dameon! Yes, I've carried a couple of smaller hatchet/axes in the pack. Just like my other LAPG packs, they slide down perfectly in the inside back pocket. -Dave

    More talk about contents than the backpack itself .
    Let’s just review the pack no ?

  • @adventureswithfrodo2721

    This pack is way to heavy.

    • @HighCarbonSteelLove
      @HighCarbonSteelLove  Před 5 lety

      It's definitely not a lightweight pack, however, it has gotten me thinking about my gear and ways I can lighten my weight for hiking and backpacking trips. Thank you for watching! -Dave
