      Great question, Jade! Maybe a 1-year video on this pack should be in the works! It's holding up really well. LAPG packs are outstanding. The LAPG Operator Backpack is still my absolute favorite pack of all time, however, this one is excellent, especially with the option of attaching the tactical chest attachment. Yo Dave....so I picked up both the LAPG Operator pack and the 3 day as a BOB for the same price as one Atlas 24....(BTW for the rest of the world LAPG has a great sale on their packs right now) and I must say the Operator is one nice piece of gear, thank you very much for the suggestion above! Did you see they now have the 65 liter LNT true hiking style pack? I would be very interested in your take on that!

      Very sturdy pack. Little stiff; needs a little more breaking in. I had it side by side with the 5.11 Rush 24 at the LAPG store and really couldn't tell a whole lot of difference except for the $45 price tag! The size of the Atlas 24 falls in between the 5.11 Rush 12 and 24.

    I have an LAPG messenger bag in this same color and it has the laser cut molle. People comment about how much they like it often. LAPG has really good products at reasonable prices! Dave, do you like the Atlas line more than the operator bag so far? I like the upgraded molle and mesh pockets with double zipper for better organization and being able to see what is inside each pocket.

    • @HighCarbonSteelLove
      @HighCarbonSteelLove  Před 7 lety +1

      Your LAPG messenger bag sounds great! You are exactly right, Josh - good products at excellent prices! I like the chest pack add on feature and i was wondering is it water proof and the slits for the molle i wonder if water will get in it and hold down at the bottom of the molle slits ? I realy like the stabalizer also ,its nice and big and like u said it would make a good cutting board or to sit on it or a small table , well good review as always god bless Ps. The pack itself is about 52 liters but I am not sure of the total with the chest attachment. I can say the attachment is nice and roomy with a number of pockets and last molle. Which bag would you recommend for a Bushcraft/ Day hike bag. Atlas 24 or the Operator. I noticed the Atlas doesn't have padding on the waist belt like the Operator, can you notice a difference in terms of comfort?

    • @HighCarbonSteelLove
      @HighCarbonSteelLove  Před 7 lety +1

      I don't notice that much of a difference, Ben. To be honest, I don't use the waist belt a lot. I think the Operator has has more padding on the belt because its designed to hold more. I think the biggest difference comes down to the molle (and size, of course). While I like the Atlas very much, I prefer the traditional molle straps over the laser molle on the Atlas. Other than that, they are both great packs, depending on usage. For a day hike, I think the Atlas would be excellent. Thank you for watching and leaving your awesome comment, my friend! Keep me posted! -Dave

    Can anyone tell me how these compare to 5.11 bags. I've never owned neither do I'm really hesitant to pay extra $ for the 5.11 that also has less space

      Personally, I have never used 5.11 bags but I have owned several LAPG packs and bags and I love them all! Very high quality at an excellent prices! The only packs I ever buy nowadays. -Dave

      Casey Goodwin i have the 72 and you can fit a lot of stuff in it

      You will definitely be able to fit more in the 72 hour pack. It will depend on what you would like to use the pack for. The LAPG operator backpack is also an excellent option for holding more gear. Thank you for watching, Casey! -Dave

    Maybe it's just the way I wear a pack, but I really don't like the Yoke Style strap system. It pushes down on my neck and I don't think it's comfortable at all.

      they made it at least wide enough so it doesn't feel like scissors on the neck ;-)

    Is this bigger than the operator pack?

    • @HighCarbonSteelLove
      @HighCarbonSteelLove  Před 5 lety

      This pack is not, however, they make a larger Atlas pack that is a bit closer to the size of the operator backpack. Great question and thank you for taking the time to sop by! -Dave

      HighCarbonSteel Love will the pathfinder millitary style canteen fit inside of the side pouch? Sorry to keep bothering you brother lol

    • @HighCarbonSteelLove
      @HighCarbonSteelLove  Před 5 lety

      No bother, at all, Casey! The side pockets are a bit thin for a canteen and/or canteen kit to fit. Hope this helps, my friend! -Dave
